Taylor Kitsch (Actor) .. Lt Alex Hopper
Born: April 08, 1981 in British Columbia, Canada
Best Known For: Playing Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Tim Riggins on Friday Night Lights.
Early-life: Taylor Kitsch was born on April 8, 1981, in British Columbia, Canada. He is the youngest of three brothers and has two younger half sisters. From a very young age, Kitsch became enamoured with playing hockey, and looked set to turn pro until a knee injury ended his fledgling career. He began to make inroads into the entertainment industry after moving to New York in 2002. There he studied acting, completed various modelling jobs and still found the time to train as a nutritionist and personal trainer.
Career: Kitsch exploded onto the scene in 2006 with a role in the much-hyped Snakes on a Plane alongside Samuel L Jackson, before bagging the role of Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights. His rough-and-ready demeanour immediately won over the hearts of female viewers, and his believability as a high school jock convinced male fans too. In 2008 his big break came playing Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Starring opposite distinguished actors such as Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds forced the former hockey player to raise his game. He was embodying one of the most popular X-Men characters, and one the fans had been clamouring to see since he was omitted from the first film.
