Early-life:
Born December 17, 1966, in York. Father was a printer and his mum was a window dresser, and he has an older brother called David. At school, he was the joker in the pack. The acting bug bit when he joined a local amateur theatre group, prompting him to train at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre York and later The Guildford School of Music and Theatre, where he met his best friend, Michael Greco, better known as EastEnders' Beppe.
Career:
Worked in local theatre before making his TV debut in 1993 miniseries Wild Justice. Later the same year he landed the role of Dave Glover in Emmerdale. The role made him both a star and a sex symbol. He stayed with the soap for three years before starring in an episode of Touching Evil. Kelsey moved to Casualty in 1999, but quit in 2002. He has since appeared in Blue Murder, Down to Earth and Doctors.
