Harrison Ford (Actor) .. President James Marshall
Born: July 13, 1942 in Chicago
Best Known For: Playing Han Solo and Indiana Jones.
Early-life: Born July 13, 1942, in Chicago. He has a younger brother called Terence. Harrison started acting while at Ripon College, Wisconsin, and after dropping out, moved to LA, where he hoped to get a job as a radio announcer. Instead, he signed a contract with Columbia and later Universal and made ends meet as a carpenter. His big-screen debut came in the 1966 James Coburn offering Dead Heat On a Merry-Go-Round.
Career: After being hired to make cabinets for George Lucas, Ford was cast in the director's 1973 film American Graffiti. They reunited for the original Star Wars trilogy, which made both their names. His role as intrepid archaeologist Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark and its sequels cemented his position as one of the world's best-loved heroes. Ford was Oscar-nominated for Peter Weir's thriller Witness. He worked with the director again on 1986 project The Mosquito Coast, which despite being a flop remains one of his favourite movies. Other notable projects include The Fugitive, Blade Runner, Working Girl, Patriot Games and Cowboys & Aliens.
Quote: "It's very little trouble for me to accommodate my fans, unless I'm actually taking a pee at the time."
Trivia: In 2014, he suffered an ankle injury during the filming of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015).
Glenn Close (Actor) .. Vice President Kathryn Bennett
Born: March 19, 1947 in Greenwich, Connecticut
Best Known For: Fatal Attraction.
Early-life: Born March 19, 1947, in Greenwich, Connecticut. One of four siblings, her second cousin is Brooke Shields and she was distantly related to Diana, Princess of Wales. Her early years were spent on a large farm, and she also grew up in communes after her parents joined a group known as the Moral Re-Armament movement. When Close was 13, her surgeon father opened a clinic in Africa. She was educated at boarding school in Switzerland, but spent her holidays in Africa. Close then attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia, graduating with a degree in drama and anthropology.
Career: Close made her Broadway debut in a production of Love for Love after lead actress Mary Ure suddenly left. Her first TV appearance was in 1975's The Rules of the Game, while her debut movie, The World According to Garp, landed her an Oscar nod. She's been nominated a further five times, for The Big Chill, Fatal Attraction (despite being fourth choice for the role), The Natural, Dangerous Liaisons and Albert Nobbs - in fact, she, Deborah Kerr and Thelma Ritter jointly hold the record for the most Oscar nominations without a win. Other movies include Reversal of Fortune, Hamlet, Meeting Venus, 101 Dalmatians and its sequel, and The Stepford Wives remake. More recently, she's picked up numerous plaudits for her performances in hit series Damages.
Quote: "I have no doubt that the days I spent running free in the evocative Connecticut countryside with an unfettered imagination, playing whatever character our games demanded, is one of the reasons that acting has always seemed so natural to me."
Trivia: She's won several Tony awards for her stage work.
Gary Oldman (Actor) .. Ivan Korshunov
Born: March 21, 1958 in London
Best Known For: Being able to tackle any role.
Early-life: Gary Leonard Oldman was born on March 21, 1958, in New Cross, London. He was raised by his mother and two sisters (one of whom is EastEnders' Laila Morse) after his alcoholic father left home when Gary was aged seven. A young Oldman toyed with becoming a musician, but was inspired to take up acting after watching Malcolm McDowell in the movie The Raging Moon. He was turned down by Rada, but gained a place at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, before honing his skills with Greenwich Young People's Theatre.
Career: Following a successful spell on stage he turned to movies, making a massive impact as Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy in 1986, and Prick Up Your Ears a year later. Alcoholism threatened his career, but he has now quit booze. His roles include playing Lee Harvey Oswald in JFK, the title role in Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Mason Verger in Hannibal. Other projects include Lost in Space, Leon, and The Fifth Element. His directorial debut, the acclaimed Nil By Mouth, was a heart-breaking, semi-autobiographical movie about his childhood. Oldman suffered a career slump around the Millennium, when he concentrated more on raising his young family than he did on acting. But he came back stronger than ever with roles in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Tinker Tailor Solider Spy (for which he was Oscar nominated) and the Batman franchise.
Quote: "I don't think Hollywood knows what to do with me. I would imagine that when it comes to romantic comedies, my name would be pretty low down on the list."
Trivia: In 2001, he described himself as a recovering alcoholic.
