Best Known For: Green Lantern.
Early-life: Ryan Rodney Reynolds was born in Vancouver, Canada, on October 23, 1976, the youngest of four brothers. Their mother is a saleswoman, their father a wholesaler. Ryan started acting in his early teens when he successfully auditioned for a role in the teen soap Fifteen. Other early projects include series such as The Odyssey, The Outer Limits, Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years and The X-Files.
Career: At the age of 18 Reynolds moved to Los Angeles, quickly landing roles in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and In Cold Blood. He then had a regular part in the surprise hit sitcom, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place. Using the exposure gained from the series, he moved on to feature film work; it was 2002's Van Wilder: Party Liaison that made him a star. Since then, he's cemented his place on Hollywood's A-list with such movies as The Amityville Horror, Blade: Trinity, Definitely, Maybe, The Proposal, Buried, Ted, and playing the title role in Green Lantern. His recent credits include Ted, RIPD, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and The Voices.

Samuel L Jackson (Actor) .. Darius Kincaid
Born: December 21, 1948 in Washington, DC
Best Known For: Pulp Fiction.
Early-life: Born Samuel Leroy Jackson on December 21, 1948, in Washington DC. He was raised by his mother and grandparents in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He later moved to New York where he worked as a doorman to make ends meet.
Career: Jackson's first film was Together for Days in 1972. He later spent two years as a stand-in on The Cosby Show, before starring in the original Broadway production of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. A series of walk-on parts in films and on TV followed. Spike Lee cast him as the crack-addicted Gator in Jungle Fever, which gained him international acclaim. His most notable films have included Jurassic Park, Pulp Fiction (for which he was Oscar-nominated), Star Wars: Episodes One, Two and Three, Shaft, The 51st State, Unbreakable, Changing Lanes, Black Snake Moan, Django Unchained, Thor, The Avengers and many more. A young Oldman toyed with becoming a musician, but was inspired to take up acting after watching Malcolm McDowell in the movie The Raging Moon. He was turned down by Rada, but gained a place at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, before honing his skills with Greenwich Young People's Theatre.
Career: Following a successful spell on stage he turned to movies, making a massive impact as Sid Vicious in Sid and Nancy in 1986, and Prick Up Your Ears a year later. Alcoholism threatened his career, but he has now quit booze. His roles include playing Lee Harvey Oswald in JFK, the title role in Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Mason Verger in Hannibal. Other projects include Lost in Space, Leon, and The Fifth Element. His directorial debut, the acclaimed Nil By Mouth, was a heart-breaking, semi-autobiographical movie about his childhood. Oldman suffered a career slump around the Millennium, when he concentrated more on raising his young family than he did on acting. But he came back stronger than ever with roles in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Tinker Tailor Solider Spy (for which he was Oscar nominated) and the Batman franchise.
Quote: 'I don't think Hollywood knows what to do with me. I would imagine that when it comes to romantic comedies, my name would be pretty low down on the list.'
