Born: December 11, 1974 in Epping, Essex
Best Known For: Hosting The Xtra Factor
Early-life: Benjamin Peter Sherrington Shephard was born in Essex on December 11, 1974. He has a brother and sister. He studied dance, drama and theatre arts at Birmingham University. As a teenager he loved sport, and played for South-East England's Under 16 and Under 18 football teams, and for the Senior Eastern Counties rugby team. After graduating, he spent time in France, working in a chateu. He returned to the UK and landed jobs at various production companies, before getting his big break in 1998, hosting Channel 4 series Control Freaks.
Career: He co-hosted The Bigger Breakfast and T4 on Channel 4, before signing up to ITV2's Bedrock. Among his presenting credits are EastEnders Revealed, Channel 4's Planet Pop, MTV Select with Kelly Brook and Exclusive with Lisa Rogers. As well as presenting GMTV Today and Entertainment Today, Ben also fronted the station's lifestyle series Inch-loss Beach in 2003 and took a road trip from San Francisco to LA in Ben's Road to Hollywood. He presented the ITV2 show The Xtra Factor since 2004 but quit - reportedly being angry that Dermot O'Leary was brought in to replace Kate Thornton on the main show, instead of him. He has since presented several high-profile shows for ITV and is the face of The Krypton Factor.

Trivia: Shephard holds the world record for the most pumpkins smashed in one minute - 11.
Phil Tufnell (Contestant)
Born: April 29, 1966 in Barnet, London
Best Known For: His glittering cricket career and various TV appearances.
Early-life: Philip Clive Roderick Tufnell was born in Barnet, London, on April 29, 1966. He went to Highgate School where his cricketing prowess was recognised and he was appointed captain of the Junior School's First XI despite the fact he was not yet in the top year. On leaving Highgate he attended, and played cricket for, Southgate School. He then trained as a quantity surveyor, but remained associated with the sport and eventually dropped his original career choice.
Career: A slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler, "Tuffers" as he was known played 42 Tests and 20 One Day International matches for England, as well as playing for Middlesex from 1986 to 2002. He took 121 Test wickets as an England bowler, but it is his good-humour and occasionally outrageous behaviour that made him a popular sports personality. Following his retirement in 2002, Tufnell has built on his popularity with several TV appearances. These include I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! which he won, They Think It's All Over, A Question of Sport, The One Show and Strictly Come Dancing. In early 2015, he was a contestant on Channel 4 reality series The Jump.

Colin Jackson (Contestant)
Born: February 18, 1967 in Cardiff
Best Known For: Being a 110m hurdler, and a sports presenter.
Early-life: Colin Ray Jackson was born in Cardiff on February 18, 1967. He is of Jamaican, Maroon, Taino and Scottish ancestry. His sister is actress Suzanne Packer. He grew up in Birchgrove. He played football and cricket for his county and rugby union and basketball for his school. He went on to join the Birchgrove Harriers athletics club. Colin initially focused on decathlon events before specialising on the 110m hurdles. He won gold at the 1986 World Junior Championships.
Career: Jackson picked up silver medals at the 1986 Commonwealth Games and the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. He set a world record for the 110m hurdles in August 1993, winning his first World Championships gold medal. The record stood for 13 years. Between August 1993 and February 1995, he won 44 consecutive races. During a distinguished sporting career, he won two World Championships, a World Indoor Championship, four European Championships, three European Indoor Championships, and two Commonwealth Games. After retiring in 2003, Jackson became a coach in athletics and other sports, and enjoys a media career with the BBC. In 2005, he lost out to Darren Gough in the final of Strictly Come Dancing.

Lisa Riley (Contestant)
Born: August 05, 1976 in Bury
Best Known For: Playing Mandy in Emmerdale.
Early-life: Born Lisa Jane Riley on June 13, 1976, in Bury, Lancashire. She had a largely happy childhood thanks to loving parents Terry and Cath. She prides herself on her down-to-earth attitude. Decided at a young age she wanted to act, and gained experience at the Oldham Theatre Workshop, where she trained alongside Jane Danson, now better known for her roles in Coronation Street and A&E. Riley appeared in many of the group's productions before turning professional.
Career: Made her TV debut with an impressive performance in Blood and Peaches, following it up with the equally acclaimed Flight and Butterfly Kiss. Her big break came when she landed the role of Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale in 1995. Initially lined up to appear in just two episodes, her popularity prompted the soap's bosses to offer her a regular stint. After picking up numerous awards, she decided to leave in 2001. She took over from Jeremy Beadle as host of You've Been Framed in 1998. She's since appeared in Put Out More Fags, Secret Society, Aladdin, Scott & Bailey and Waterloo Road. She's most proud of her role in Fat Friends, which she calls "serious acting". On stage, she has appeared in a number of pantomimes and in UK tours of The Vagina Monologues and Calendar Girls. In 2012, she partnered professional dancer Robin Windsor in Strictly Come Dancing.
