Career: Hannah's TV debut came in 1987's Brond. He continued to work on the small screen in such projects as Bookie, Harbour Beat, Taggart, and Paul Calf's Video Diary, and in the theatre, until Four Weddings and a Funeral catapulted him to stardom in 1994. Small screen success followed with Out of the Blue and McCallum. He also starred in Rebus, which was made by his own company, Clerkenwell Films. His movie hits include Sliding Doors, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and The Hurricane. Other credits include Sea of Souls, Cold Blood, Spartacus: War of the Damned, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Damages and A Touch of Cloth.

Career: Outhwaite took small parts in various West End productions and also appeared on TV in The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Her big break came in 1997, when dramatist Alan Ayckbourn spotted her in the chorus of a musical and offered her the lead role in his play Absent Friends. She then played the part of Melanie Healy in EastEnders for three years. Since leaving Walford, she has starred in the dramas Red Cap and Final Demand, and won rave reviews for her performance as a single mum in the improvised drama Out of Control. Other work includes an appearance in Fast Freddie, The Widow and Me, Doctor Who and Marple. She has also appeared on the stage in revivals of Boeing Boeing and Sweet Charity, and is the lead actress in New Tricks.

Career: McGowan's professional debut came in The Pied Piper at Worcester. He began appearing in clubs as a stand-up comedian in 1989. A stint on Radio 4's Week Ending led to him spending four years on Spitting Image. Other radio work includes The Harpoon, The Nick Revell Show, First Impressions, The Game's Up and Just a Minute. His own TV show, Big Impression, came in 1999, for which he picked up a Royal Society award for entertainment performance. McGowan has also starred in TV's Preston Front, The Dark Ages, Mayo and Bleak House. He enjoys a successful stage career too, popping up in acclaimed productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret and The Mikado. More recently, he has starred in TV movie Pete & Dud: The Lost Sketches, Little Crackers, Skins, and Leonardo. He returned to stand-up in 2013 with his Not Just a Pretty Voice tour.

Career: Denise starred in a variety of hit TV dramas including Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Byker Grove, Soldier Soldier and Spender before landing the part of Natalie in Coronation Street in 1997. She stayed on the soap opera for four years but left when she discovered she was pregnant with her second child. She was asked to present This Morning following the departure of Richard and Judy, but turned the offer down. She went on to make appearances in TV shows The Vice, Born and Bred, and Down to Earth, before joining the cast of Waterloo Road. The actress has also hit the charts with the singles You Don't Have to Say You Love Me and Cry Me A River. She was a panellist on Loose Women between 2002 and 2013. In August 2013, she was a contestant on ITV's dancing reality series Stepping Out.
