Early-life:
Eric Harry Timothy Mabius was born April 22, 1971, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, of Irish and Austrian descent. He was raised in Massachusetts, went to Amherst Regional High School and studied film at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Eric eventually made his big-screen debut in 1995's Welcome to the Dollhouse.
Career:
After his big break, Eric went on to feature in a string of movies, including Black Circle Boys, Cruel Intentions, The Crow: Salvation, Resident Evil and Reeker. The actor's TV projects have included Chicago Hope, Millennium, The Job, The L Word, Eyes and The OC. He reputedly fought off stiff competition to play fashion magazine editor boss Daniel Meade in hit series Ugly Betty, and was recently named one of the Sexiest Men Alive in People magazine.
