Career: In 1978, Wonnacott joined Sotheby's in London, becoming a junior director in 1983 and a full director in 1985. His work for the auction house was primarily in the furniture department, where he developed his knowledge of clocks, barometers, 19th-century sculpture and works of art, ceramics and silver. He left Sotheby's in January 2003 after 25 years to start his own fine art agency and brokerage business and further his media ambitions. He first began appearing regularly on TV in the early 1990s as an expert on Antiques Roadshow. His big break came in 2003 when he replaced David Dickinson as the host of Bargain Hunt. He has made guest appearances on a number of shows such as Test the Nation, Going for a Song, The Great Antiques Hunt, and Royal Upstairs Downstairs. In 2014, he signed up to appear as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

Career: In 2003, Snow and his father made a programme on El Alamein to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the battle and followed this up with an eight-part series on BBC2 in 2004 called Battlefield Britain. This won a BAFTA award (for special effects). The same year Snow won a Sony award as one of the presenters on LBC's Boat Race coverage. He has made numerous history programmes for the BBC. He also presents on many of the state occasions such as the 200th anniversary celebration of the Battle of Trafalgar, Beating Retreat 2006, the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the 90th anniversary of the Armistice in November 2008, Trooping the Colour and the City Salute.

Career: Snow began his presenting career as a newsreader for ITN in the 1960s, but became more well known when he was recruited to front the BBC Two programme Newsnight. Having retired from this in 1997 after 17 years, he went on to become the face of Tomorrow's World and the voice of the BBC Radio 4 quiz MasterTeam. Between 1966 and 2005, he presented in-depth statistical analysis of general election results for both ITN and the BBC and became synonomous for his swingometer. More recently, he has co-presented Battlefield Britain and 20th Century Battlefields with his son, Dan, and hosted Brits Who Made the Modern World on his own.
