Bradley Walsh (Host)
Born: June 04, 1960 in Watford
Best Known For: Coronation Street and Law & Order: UK
Early-life: Bradley John Walsh was born in Watford on June 4, 1960. He wanted to be a footballer and was playing for a county league team when he was offered a contract with Brentford FC. Sadly, his sporting career was brought to an abrupt end when he broke both his ankles. He then considered joining the police, but was told he was too short, so he followed his father into engineering. He eventually decided to try stand-up comedy, and made his first steps towards turning professional when he became an entertainer at a holiday camp near Morecambe.
Career: Walsh's big TV break came in 1993, when he appeared on the Royal Variety Show. It led to a stint presenting the National Lottery, and he also hosted the game shows Wheel of Fortune and Win, Lose or Draw. After fearing his brand of light entertainment was becoming dated he moved into acting, taking parts in the TV version of Lock, Stock, the soap Night and Day and movie Mike Bassett: England Manager before Coronation Street's bosses created the role of Danny Baldwin for him in 2004. He stayed in Weatherfield for two years before leaving to pursue other projects. He's since appeared in Torn, The Old Curiosity Shop, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Law and Order: UK and SunTrap. He moved back into presenting in 2009 with ITV quiz show The Chase, and is a team captain on Play to the Whistle.
Quote: 'Professionally I saw the end of light entertainment galloping towards me. Oddly enough, it's coming back now thanks to all the reality shows.'
Trivia: Walsh is a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Matt Dawson (Contestant)
Born: October 31, 1972 in Birkenhead
Best Known For: Being part of the 2003 World Cup-winning England rugby union squad.
Early-life: Matthew James Sutherland Dawson was born on October 31, 1972, in Birkenhead. At the age of four, he and his family, mum Lois, dad Ron and sister Emma, moved to the edge of the New Forest. Throughout his school years, Matt preferred sport to academic study and, with support from his father, grew to love rugby union. He started playing at the age of six, and by the time he should have been studying for his A-levels, Matt was hard at work trying out for the England 16-18 squad and landing a place at club side Northampton in 1991.
Career: Dawson's career as a scrum-half took off when he was selected to play for England in 1995. During his time with the squad, he was a member of the victorious 1997 British Lions tour, captained the English national side in 2000 and was a member of the team that won the World Cup in 2003. A year later, he left Northampton and moved to London Wasps. In 2006, he announced his retirement from the sport. Two years earlier he had begun his assault on TV, joining the long-running quiz A Question of Sport as a team captain. The year he gave up rugby saw him take part in cookery show Celebrity MasterChef, which he won, and Strictly Come Dancing, where he was beaten into second place by Mark Ramprakash. More recently, he has presented Monster Munchies for the Good Food channel and Real Food Family Cook Off on Channel 5.
Quote: 'One of the great things about the England side in 2003 was that we had a great bond on and off the pitch. Sometimes we'd sneak out for a drink and talk about anything other than rugby.'
Trivia: He is married to former model Carolin Hauskeller, now a marketing manager, and they have a son.
Sally Bercow (Contestant)
Born: November 22, 1969 in London

Career: Bercow's husband became a Conservative MP in 1997 and she has political ambitions of her own. She unsuccessfully stood for Labour in the St James Ward of Westminster City Council in the 2010 local elections. Since her husband became Speaker of the House of Commons in 2009, Bercow has raised her own profile. In 2011, she was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother.
Quote: On her drinking: 'I'd lose my judgement and put myself in danger. I'd get into unlicensed minicabs in the early hours. All the things we'd tell our daughters not to do.'
Trivia: She is a Parent Patron of the charity Ambitious About Autism.

Career: He replaced Thomas Ormson in the role of David Platt on Coronation Street in 2000. During Shepherd's time on the famous cobbles, David has turned from an innocent schoolboy into a scheming sociopath. Shepherd has taken time out from the soap to do theatre work, including Oliver! and West Side Story, and appeared on TV with other Corrie cast members in Ghosthunting with Coronation Street on the Isle of Man.
Quote: 'I've got a bit of OCD, where everything has to be tidy. I'll finish filming and then go home and tidy the house.'

Jimmy Carr (Contestant)
Born: September 15, 1972 in Slough
Best Known For: His stand-up comedy
Early-life: James Anthony Patrick Carr was born in Slough on September 15, 1972, one of three sons of Irish immigrants. His parents split in 1994, though the marriage didn't end until the death of his mother in 2001. Jimmy did well at school and studied political science at Cambridge before moving into advertising. He landed a job in the marketing department of Shell Oil, but felt unfulfilled. When the company offered him voluntary redundancy, he took it, and decided to pursue a career in comedy.
Career: Carr began performing on the stand-up circuit, doing up to 300 shows a year for three years, before taking his act to the Edinburgh festival in 2002. This brought him to the attention of TV bosses, and before long he was presenting series such as Your Face or Mine and Distraction. Since then, he's rarely been off TVscreens, hosting the first run of the Friday Night Project, 8 Out of 10 Cats and numerous Channel 4 list shows. He's also made a move into acting, appearing in Alien Autopsy, Confetti, Stormbreaker and Telstar. He is one of Britain's busiest comics and his DVDs are big sellers.
