Chris Tarrant (Presenter)
Born: October 10, 1946 in Reading
Best Known For: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Early-life: Christopher John Tarrant was born on October 10, 1946, in Reading, Berkshire, the only child of Joan and Basil Tarrant. His father taught him to fish at an early age, a hobby he has continued ever since. A shy child, he was privately educated and sent to King's School, Worcester, at the age of 13, where he excelled at sport, particularly cricket and hockey. His experiences at the institution helped him come out of his shell.
Quote: "I've been a wage slave for years. I now feel I can take the time in my life to do things I have always wanted to do."
Trivia: He is a fan of Reading FC. He was awarded an OBE for charity work in 2004.
Career: After attending Birmingham University, Tarrant wrote a series of letters to TV companies which stated "I am the face of the 1970s and you should snap me up now". Eventually he landed a reporting job on ATV, before presenting Saturday morning children's show Tiswas from 1974 until 1981. In the 1980s he took on some entertainment slots on TV-am and began a long career as a DJ with London's Capital FM. Small-screen work has included his own show, Tarrant on TV, The Main Event, Man O Man, and of course, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, which became a global phenomenon. He has recently branched out into documentaries with Chris Tarrant - Extreme Railways, and Chris Tarrant Goes Fishing.
JB Gill (Contestant)
Born: December 07, 1986 in Croydon
Best Known For: Being a member of boy band JLS.
Early-life: Jonathan Benjamin Gill was born in Croydon on December 7, 1986 to Cynthia and Keith. He has one brother, Neequaye. JB spent the first five years of his life in Antigua before returning to Croydon. He took a keen interest in music from a young age and by the time he was seven, he could play the recorder, piano, flute and guitar. He went on to attend the Centre for Young Musicians in London. He studied theology at King's College London before dropping out to pursue a music career.
Career: In 2006, he joined boy band UFO. In 2008, they auditioned for The X Factor but had to change their name because it was already being used by another group. They decided on JLS and they ended up reaching the final of the talent show, losing out to eventual winner Alexandra Burke. JLS went on to sign a record contract with Epic Records and released their debut album in November 2009. It was a huge success and went on to sell more than 1.4million copies. They released a further three albums and a greatest hits collection before deciding to call it a day. Their final concert was at the 02 arena in London on December 22, 2013. Away from JLS, Gill has competed on Celebrity MasterChef. In early 2015, he was a contestant on Channel 4 reality series The Jump.

Trivia: A promising rugby player, he was with the London Irish rugby club until he was 18.
Oritse Williams (Contestant)
Born: November 27, 1986 in London
Best Known For: Being a member of JLS.
Early-life: Born on November 27, 1986, in London, he was 12 when his mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He attended the British International School in Lagos, Nigeria. It was here that he won his first talent show performing alongside singer L Marshall, who also attended the school.
Career: In 2006, Williams began putting together his own boy band, UFO, who later changed their name to JLS. His big break came in 2008, when JLS came second to Alexandra Burke on the fifth series of The X Factor. Their first two singles went to number one in the UK. JLS released their self-titled debut album in November 2009, and went on to release three further studio albums and a greatest hits album. In April 2013, they announced they were splitting up. They sold more than 10 million records worldwide. In August 2013, Williams became a contestant on ITV's dancing reality show Stepping Out.
Quote: On his time in JLS: "We've worked really hard and achieved a lot of things in our seven years as a group."
Trivia: Williams wrote the song Wow Oh Wow for Jedward.
Des O'Connor (Contestant)
Born: January 12, 1932 in Stepney, London
Best Known For: His long-running chat show
Early-life: Desmond Bernard O'Connor was born on January 12, 1932, into an impoverished East End family. His mother was a cleaner, while his dad took whatever jobs came his way. O'Connor couldn't walk for several years of his early life following a car accident. His father encouraged him to walk by sitting across the room with pieces of banana and when the lad suggested he throw it to him, his dad replied: "Bananas can't fly". That became the title of his autobiography.
Career: Des was a winger for Northampton Town for three years before turning to entertainment. In the 1950s he appeared across the country in variety shows, and toured with Buddy Holly. In 1963 he was given his own series, The Des O'Connor Show, and has regularly appeared on prime-time TV ever since. Des also had an American TV show in the 1970s, which featured Jack Benny and Liberace, and has a huge following in Canada and Australia. He later co-hosted afternoon show Today with Des and Mel, alongside Melanie Sykes, and had a stint as the presenter of Countdown. More recently he appeared on stage in The Wizard of Oz.
Quote: "Love, laughter and good health, there's nothing more to life than that, apart from enthusiasm - that's what I consider the oxygen of life."
Trivia: He was awarded a CBE in 2008.
Lee Mack (Contestant)
Born: August 04, 1968 in Southport
Best Known For: His role as namesake Lee in BBC comedy Not Going Out.
Early-life: Born Lee Gordon McKillop in Southport, Manchester. He lived with his parents above a pub before their divorce and he relocated to Blackburn. He left school at sixteen and worked as a stable boy and a bingo caller before his talent for performing was realised. He joined Pontin's as a Bluecoat but was sacked for shouting profanities at the audience and going on stage drunk. He entered an open-mike competition in 1994 and his talent was so obvious that he was to become a full-time comic within 18 months.
Career: His success as a stand-up was crowned when he won an award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He came to the attention of TV bosses after a stint on the radio. Lee was cast in The Sketch show alongside long-term collaborator Tim Vine. After a short-lived stint presenting They Think It's All Over, Mack and Vine began work on Not Going Out. The series revolves around two friends with opposite backgrounds and personalities, much like the two comics themselves. Mack has recently become a regular on comedy panel shows such as Would I Lie to You? and Have I Got News for You. He also has sell-out tours and best-selling DVDs to his name.
Quote: "I'm not as bothered about being as cool as I was 10 years ago. I quite like the idea of being phenomenally uncool."
Trivia: In June 2012, Mack was one of the comperes at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert outside Buckingham Palace.
Rosemary Shrager (Contestant)
Born: January 21, 1952 in London
Best Known For: Her strict discipline on reality show Ladette to Lady.
Early-life: Rosemary was born on January 21, 1951, in London to Jewish parents. She kicked off her cooking career working for Pierre Koffmann and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Career: Shrager was head chef at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle until 2002. She became known to TV audiences after appearances on Ladette to Lady and Soapstar Superchef. She has also appeared on the small screen in Rosemary: Queen of the Kitchen, Kitchen Showdown with Rosemary Shrager, and Rosemary Shrager's School for Cooks. She presents the cookery slot on The Alan Titchmarsh Show. In 2012, she was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Quote: "Britney Spears could benefit from coming to Ladette To Lady and learning how to take care of herself."
Trivia: Away from TV, Shrager has her own cookery school in Kent.
Hugo Taylor (Contestant)
Born: January 01, 1987 in Belgravia, London
Best Known For: Made in Chelsea.
Early-life: Born Hugo Louis George Taylor on January 1, 1987, in Belgravia, London. He was a boarder at private school Harrow. His father is a QC and his mum works at Christie's.
Career: Hugo became known to a wider audience when he began appearing on E4 reality TV series Made in Chelsea in 2011. Mostly shot in the West London areas of Belgravia, the Kings Road and Knightsbridge, it follows the lives of young, affluent Chelsea socialites. They can often be found quaffing champagne and partying. His filming commitments were fit around his day job as PR and marketing manager for Bourne Capital, a property investment firm based in Waterloo. He left MIC after appearing in three series.
Quote: "(In Chelsea) there's a core group of about 100 people who all went to similar schools and hang out in the same places. You'll inevitably end up dating someone else's ex."
Trivia: In 2012, Taylor was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! He finished fifth.
