Season 1, Episode 1

Bradley Walsh hosts the spin-off from The Chase in which contestants take on two, three, four or all five of the quiz's resident experts Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Shaun Wallace at once. Members of the audience are called out to face five multiple choice questions, with the chance to bank up to £5,000, but if they get the first question wrong they are out. Next, contestants are given the option of playing between two and all five Chasers for increasing amounts of money, but with a decreasing time advantage against them.

Bradley Walsh (Presenter)
Born: June 04, 1960 in Watford
Best Known For: Coronation Street and Law & Order: UK
Early-life: Bradley John Walsh was born in Watford on June 4, 1960. He wanted to be a footballer and was playing for a county league team when he was offered a contract with Brentford FC. Sadly, his sporting career was brought to an abrupt end when he broke both his ankles. He then considered joining the police, but was told he was too short, so he followed his father into engineering. He eventually decided to try stand-up comedy, and made his first steps towards turning professional when he became an entertainer at a holiday camp near Morecambe.
Career: Walsh's big TV break came in 1993, when he appeared on the Royal Variety Show. It led to a stint presenting the National Lottery, and he also hosted the game shows Wheel of Fortune and Win, Lose or Draw. After fearing his brand of light entertainment was becoming dated he moved into acting, taking parts in the TV version of Lock, Stock, the soap Night and Day and movie Mike Bassett: England Manager before Coronation Street's bosses created the role of Danny Baldwin for him in 2004. He stayed in Weatherfield for two years before leaving to pursue other projects. He's since appeared in Torn, The Old Curiosity Shop, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Law and Order: UK and SunTrap. He moved back into presenting in 2009 with ITV quiz show The Chase, and is a team captain on Play to the Whistle.
Quote: 'Professionally I saw the end of light entertainment galloping towards me. Oddly enough, it's coming back now thanks to all the reality shows.'
Trivia: Walsh is a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Born: July 14, 1958 in Westminster, London
Best Known For: For being The Chase's Governess
Early-life: Anne was born in Wood Green, London, in 1958. She has said she didn't enjoy school much at first but went on to do well academically. After leaving school, she worked as a journalist in Wales and Manchester and was also employed as a proof reader, but her career suffered as she struggled with organisation and multitasking. In 2003, while watching a documentary about children with autism, Anne realised she could have the condition, and was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome in 2005. Anne had always been a keen quizzer, appearing on shows including Mastermind, Fifteen to One and Are You an Egghead.
Career: In 2008, Anne was struggling to earn a steady income and credits a social worker with helping to sort out her finances and convincing her to audition for The Chase. She joined the quiz show in 2010, during its second series, and soon became a firm favourite with viewers. She's since gone on to appear on the Australian version of the show, and has also starred in pantomimes. In 2018, she began hosting her own quiz show, Britain's Brightest Family, and later that year she took part in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, which showed viewers her softer side.
Quote: "For a long time I wasn't allowed to be anything but The Governess when I went on TV, even if I went on a talk show I had to be in costume. I mean guys, I own clothes!"
Trivia: Presenter Bradley Walsh came up with her Chase nickname. She was originally going to be known as The Headmistress but he started calling her The Governess during rehearsals and Anne decided to adopt that instead.
