Vernon Kay invites cast members from two soap families to play the classic game show in a bid to win up to £30,000 for a charity of their choice. Coronation Street's Bruce Jones (Les Battersby-Brown) teams up with screen wife Wendi Peters (Cilla), Andrew Whyment (lodger Kirk Sutherland), Samia Smith (Kirk's sister Maria) and Jayne Tunnicliffe (family friend Yana Lumb) to play for the Leukaemia Research Fund and the Leeds Upper GI Fund. Meanwhile, Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw (Bob Hope) brings along his on-screen spouse Deena Payne (Viv), Verity Rushworth (stepdaughter Donna Windsor-Dingle), Alex Carter (son Jamie) and Adele Silva (Kelly Windsor), aiming to win big for the Variety Club of Great Britain and the Five Stars Scanner Appeal

Vernon Kay (Host)
Born: April 28, 1974 in Bolton
Best Known For: Hosting light entertainment.
Early-life: Vernon Charles Kay was born on April 28, 1974, in Bolton, Lancashire. He attended St Joseph's RC High School in nearby Horwich. His first taste of fame came when he was spotted by a model scout from the Select agency at the BBC's Clothes Show Live. He went on to have a successful modelling career, culminating in his selection by Channel 4 as Model of the Week on The Big Breakfast.
Career: Kay was soon snapped up to present various TV shows, including Fully Booked spin-off FBi. This led to him fronting Channel 4's weekend strand T4, as well as Hit Me Baby One More Time - which revived the careers of faded popstars - The Record of the Year, Just the Two of Us - which he co-presented with his wife, Tess Daly - All Star Family Fortunes, and various shows for The Prince's Trust. Most recently he has become the face of light entertainment on ITV, hosting All Star Family Fortunes, Beat the Star, The Whole 19 Yards, and Splash! among others.

Bruce Jones (Contestant)
Born: January 24, 1953 in Manchester
Best Known For: Playing Les Battersby in Coronation Street.
Early-life: Born Ian Roy Jones in Collyhurst, Manchester, in 1953. He is the oldest of six children to Bruce, a steel erector. His mum worked in a factory. Although he enjoyed appearing in school plays, he didn't initially pursue acting as a career and became an apprentice pipe fitter at the age of 16. Jones also worked in a dairy and took jobs as a boilerman and firefighter, but developed a taste for show business when he compered a club night after a friend dropped out.
Career: Jones teamed up with a friend to create the comedy double act Clark and Jones, who were very successful on the northern club circuit, and also studied acting at the Manchester School of Theatre. His big break came in 1993, when director Ken Loach cast him in the film Raining Stones. He followed this up with appearances in the TV series Roughnecks, Heartbeat, Band of Gold and A Touch of Frost, and also took roles in the movies Bob's Weekend, TwentyFourSeven and The Full Monty. In 1997, he became a household name when he joined Coronation Street as loudmouth layabout Les Battersby. Since leaving the soap under something of a cloud he has appeared in several reality shows, including Celebrity Wife Swap, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, and Famous, Rich and Homeless. In August 2013, he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Trivia: Jones told The People newspaper in January 2009 that he had blown his £1million fortune.
Tony Audenshaw (Contestant)
Best Known For: Playing Bob Hope in Emmerdale.
Early-life: Antony Audenshaw was born in Denton near Manchester in 1964. Tony had small roles in Raining Stones (1993), Prime Suspect 5: Errors of Judgement, Hillsborough, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Where The Heart Is, Heartbeat and Peak Practice before landing the role that made him famous in Emmerdale.
Career: Audenshaw joined the long-running soap in 2000 as Bob Hope, a love interest of Viv Windsor. Bob proposed to Viv while drunk and they married in 2001. They divorced four years later after Viv had an affair with Paddy Kirk but they reconciled and married for a second time in 2006. Bob had his hands full when Viv gave birth to twins and was left holding the babies when she was sentenced to three years in prison for fraud. He tried to run the café and post office as well as work shifts in the Woolpack and raise the twins on his own. He was shocked when Viv was suddenly released from prison, but they eventually come to the realisation that they were no longer compatible. The current love of Bob's life is Brenda Walker.
Quote: On running in fancy dress: "You get great enjoyment from wearing a costume if you are not going for a time."
Trivia: Audenshaw has run a number of marathons in fancy dress for the charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. He is also the lead singer of a band called White Van Man.
Wendi Peters (Contestant)
Born: February 29, 1968 in Blackburn
Best Known For: Playing Cilla Battersby-Brown on Coronation Street.
Early-life: Born Wendi Louise Dawson in Blackburn on February 29, 1968, she is the sister of actress Lindsey Dawson. In 1996, Wendi made her TV debut in an episode of Cardiac Arrest. She followed that up with guest appearances in Out of the Blue and Bad Girls. In 1996, she starred in the Hollywood film In Love and War, alongside Sandra Bullock and Chris O'Donnell.
Career: Peters' big break came in October 2003 when she made her first screen appearance as Cilla Brown in Coronation Street. She left the show in January 2007, but returned for six weeks in 2014. Peters is also known for her stage work, having appeared in the likes of Bedroom Farce, Noises Off, Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, White Christmas, and Rutherford and Son. Away from acting, Peters reached the 2009 final of Celebrity MasterChef, losing out to eventual winner Jayne Middlemiss. In 2015, Peters was a contestant on ITV's celebrity sheepdog trials programme Flockstars.
Quote: On her Coronation Street character: "I'm very grateful to have played her. If I hadn't, I'd probably be working as a jobbing actress now. It opened all sorts of doors for me."
Trivia: In 2014, Peters won a charity edition of The Great British Sewing Bee.
Andrew Whyment (Contestant)
Born: April 02, 1981 in Leigh
Best Known For: Playing Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street.
Early-life: Andrew was born in Leigh on April 2, 1981. He attended the Laine Johnson Theatre School and his first TV credit came in 1994 when he starred in Tim Firth's comedy drama Once Upon a Time in the North.
Career: Guest roles followed for Whyment in Cracker, Where the Heart Is, The Cops and Heartbeat before he landed a recurring role as Darren in BBC sitcom The Royle Family. His big break came in 2000 when he was cast as Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street, a role he has played ever since. In 2006, he was a contestant on reality singing competition Soapstar Superstar, and in 2012, he paired up with professional skater Vicky Ogden for Dancing on Ice.
Quote: On Coronation Street: "I have got so many close friends there. It is a fantastic job. I have always loved playing Kirk."
Trivia: In 2003, Whyment won a British Soap Award in the Best Comedy Performance category.
