A flight attendant is poisoned during her crew's overnight stay on the island. Humphrey and his team are called to the victim's hotel and begin by questioning her colleagues, but with so many suspects and so little to go on, they are left scratching their heads trying to work out which of her colleagues wanted her dead - so Dwayne goes rogue to pursue his own line of inquiry. Kris Marshall and Danny John-Jules star in the light-hearted Caribbean crime drama

Kris Marshall (Actor) .. DI Humphrey Goodman
Born: April 01, 1973 in Malmesbury, Wiltshire
Best Known For: Playing dopey Nick Harper in My Family
Early-life: Born in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, on April 1, 1973. He spent some of his childhood in Hong Kong and Canada, and attended Wells Cathedral School in Somerset, from which he was expelled at the age of 17. He puts the incident down to not being able to do things in the confines of school, such as smoke, which he freely did at home. After failing his A levels, he enrolled at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead.
Career: Marshall's first TV role came in 1993's Closing Numbers. He later had bit parts in shows including The Bill and Trial and Retribution II. Playing gormless Nick in My Family turned him into a star in 2000. He left the sitcom three years later (although he returned to made guest appearances), and went on to appear in Doctor Zhivago, Love Actually, Iris, The Four Feathers and The Merchant of Venice. His first lead role in a TV drama came in 2004 when he was cast as DS Luke Stone in ITV1's Murder City alongside Amanda Donohoe. He's since featured in Citizen Khan, Derek and Lightfields. Marshall also appeared in a popular series of ads for BT between 2005 and 2011. He took over from Ben Miller as the star of Death in Paradise in 2014.
Quote: "I am 6ft 2in with legs like a giraffe and I get fan mail from six-year-olds."
Trivia: In 2008, he suffered head injuries after being hit by a car during a night out with friends in Bristol. He made a full recovery, and credits a card from his favourite football team, Aston Villa, for boosting his morale.

Best Known For: Playing Cat in Red Dwarf.
Early-life: Daniel John-Jules was born in London on September 16, 1960. He trained at the Omnibus Theatre Company and Anna Scher Children's Theatre, and started out as a dancer. He was a member of the original cast of Starlight Express, playing a boxcar called Rocky I.
Career: John-Jules' other West End credits include Barnum, Time, Cats and Carmen Jones. He has appeared on TV in the likes of Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, The Tomorrow People and M.I. High but he is best known for playing Cat in sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf, a role he has played since 1988. His film credits include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1988), Blade II (2002) and Sucker Punch (2008). In 2011, he began playing Officer Dwayne Myers in Death in Paradise.
Quote: "I love slipping from drama to comedy and feel blessed that I have a nice cross section of people who like the characters I perform."
Trivia: For a number of years, he played his Cat character in the annual Christmas pantomime at Aldershot's Prince's Hall theatre.

Best Known For: Death in Paradise and Downton Abbey.
Early-life: Gary was born in London on December 11, 1986. He attended the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain, the Arts Educational Performing Arts College and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He made his professional acting debut in the play Yerma at the Arcola Theatre.
Career: Since graduating from LAMDA in 2008, Carr has split his time between stage and TV roles. His theatre credits include the lead role in the Royal National Theatre production of Terry Pratchett's novel Nation and being a member of the original cast of Earthquakes in London at the National Theatre. His TV credits include Silent Witness, Inspector George Gently, Bluestone 42, Downton Abbey and Death in Paradise.

Trivia: Carr is an accomplished dancer and musician.

Best Known For: Being the bridegroom in Muriel's Wedding.
Early-life: Daniel Lapaine was born in Sydney on April 16, 1970. His father originally came from Italy, but emigrated to Australia following the Second World War. Daniel trained to be an actor at the Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art, and graduated in 1992. Shortly afterwards, he began acting on stage, working with the Sydney Theatre and Bell Shakespeare companies, and made his TV debut the following year in The Feds: Deception.
Career: Lapaine first came to international attention when he appeared as a South African swimmer in Muriel's Wedding in 1994. Since then, he's cropped up in numerous American, British and Australian movies, including Polish Wedding (1998), 54 (1998), Brokedown Palace (1999), Double Jeopardy (1999) and The Abduction Club (2002). He's also become a familiar face on British TV thanks to roles in dramas such as Red Cap, Poirot , Jane Hall, Hotel Babylon, Waking the Dead, Vera, Death in Paradise and Inspector George Gently.
Quote: "I usually play roles that seem like nice charming guys on the outside but are in fact dirty, horrible drug-pushing murderers."
Trivia: Lapaine married actress Fay Ripley in 2001.
