Born: March 22, 1957 in Kolkata, India
Best Known For: Trust Me, I'm a Doctor and other factual shows on the BBC.
Early-life: Michael was born in Kolkata, India, on March 22, 1957. He went on to study philosophy, politics and economics at New College, Oxford. He spent two years working as a banker in the City of London before making the move into medicine with the intention of becoming a psychiatrist. After becoming disillusioned by psychiatry, Michael joined the BBC's trainee assistant producer scheme in 1985.
Career: Mosley produced a number of science programmes for the BBC, including The Human Face and Inventions That Changed the World. He moved in front of the camera to present Blood and Guts, Medical Mavericks and The Story of Science. More recently, he has presented Ten Things About Weight Loss, Inside the Human Body, Guts: The Strange and Mysterious World of the Human Stomach, Eat, Fast and Live longer, Should I Eat Meat, Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, and Countdown to Life: the Extraordinary Making of You. He has also been a regular contributor on The One Show.

Trivia: In 1995, he was named Medical Journalist of the Year by the British Medical Association.
