Early-life:
Trudie was born in Lewisham on November 13, 1951. She made her TV debut in the 1980 drama series Fox. In 1983 she played WPC Ackland in one-off TV drama called Woodentop. It formed the basis for The Bill.
Career:
Goodwin starred in The Bill between 1984 and 2007, making her the longest-serving member of the cast. After leaving the show, she appeared in Heartbeat and Doctors. In 2011, she joined the cast of Emmerdale, playing Georgia Sharma.
