Born: November 13, 1951 in Lewisham
Best Known For: Playing Sergeant June Ackland in The Bill.
Early-life: Trudie was born in Lewisham on November 13, 1951. She made her TV debut in the 1980 drama series Fox. In 1983 she played WPC Ackland in one-off TV drama called Woodentop. It formed the basis for The Bill.
Career: Goodwin starred in The Bill between 1984 and 2007, making her the longest-serving member of the cast. After leaving the show, she appeared in Heartbeat and Doctors. In 2011, she joined the cast of Emmerdale, playing Georgia Sharma.
Quote: "Being on The Bill changed my view of coppers and gave me a newfound respect for their integrity and the difficult job they do."
Trivia: Goodwin has appeared on Countdown in Dictionary Corner.
Andrew Paul (Actor) .. PC Dave Quinnan
Raquel Cassidy (Actor) .. Lola Chaves
Chris Simmons (Actor) .. Ricky Lee
Born: January 08, 1975 in Gravesend, Kent
Best Known For: Playing troubled thief-taker Mickey Webb in The Bill.
Early-life: Chris almost spent his life working on the water in the family boat business. After leaving school at the age of 16, he began an apprenticeship but quickly realised the work wasn't for him and set his sights on becoming an actor. A family friend rang him with news of a scholarship at a London drama school and he passed an audition, working as a cleaner to pay his way.
Career: After working as a jobbing actor and touring Africa with a theatre group, he wrote to the producers of a documentary called Desperately Seeking Stardom. For three months a camera crew followed him to castings and auditions. By the time the show finished he had won a part in a film (which he couldn't do as he didn't have a work permit) and received an offer of marriage! He was cast as a villain The Bill, impressed bosses, and landed the part of Mickey Webb in the series.
Quote: Asked about his return to the show after a two-year absence, he said: "I'd always kept a good relationship with The Bill - I didn't leave in a big huff or anything."
Trivia: He is a patron for the CPC Kent charity.
Andy Williams (Actor) .. Kenny Leonard
Born: December 03, 1927 in Wall Lake, Iowa
Best Known For: His version of Moon River.
Early-life: Howard Andrew Williams was born in Wall Lake, Iowa, on December 3, 1927. He first began performing in a local church choir, before going on to form the Williams Brothers with his three elder siblings, Bob, Don and Dick. The group enjoyed success performing on the radio, and even collaborated with Bing Crosby on the hit single Swinging on a Star in 1944. The brothers also spent seven years backing actress Kay Thompson in her nightclub act, before deciding to go their separate ways in 1951.
Career: Williams's first solo recordings were not a success, but his profile received a boost after he started making regular appearances on the Tonight Show in the mid-1950s, and he soon began notching up hits. He went on to secure a number of gold albums and a string of hits, including Moon River, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, and Can't Get Used to Losing You. In 1962, he hosted his own, self-titled TV variety show, which ran for nine years, although his attempt to break into acting was less successful - he made just one film, I'd Rather Be Rich (1964). He continued to perform into his 80s. He died of bladder cancer on September 25, 2012, at the age of 84.
Quote: "The important things are children, honesty, integrity and faith."
Trivia: Williams collected Navajo blankets.
