Early-life: Born on October 4, 1964, in Oldham, Lancashire. Her father was scriptwriter Geoffrey Lancashire, who penned more than 100 episodes of Coronation Street in the 1960s. She's since collaborated with writer Sally Wainwright on hit TV series Last Tango in Halifax and Happy Valley.
