Early-life:
Sean Campbell Gallagher was born in Luton on September 2, 1965 but raised in rural Kent. He trained at the English and American Drama School, and made his small-screen debut in the TV movie The Guilty in 1992. Guest appearances followed in Boon, EastEnders, The Bill, Peak Practice and Casualty. His first recurring role came in The House of Windsor.
Career:
During a wide and varied career, Gallagher has starred in The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Holding On, Extremely Dangerous, Linda Green, Clocking Off, Island of War, and Doctor Who. He is perhaps best known for playing Paul Connor in Coronation Street, a part he played from September 2006 until June 2007, but he is always keen to try different roles. Since leaving the famous cobbles, he has appeared in Rock Rivals, Holby City, Eternal Law, Walking and Talking, Silent Witness and Our Girl.

Trivia:
Gallagher supports a number of animal welfare charities. Before he became an actor, he trained as a groom and horseman, and was a croupier.
