Sister Reginald's incorrigible brother Alfie Lynch, a habitual thief, turns up at the nunnery seeking help. He is put up at Mrs Clams's guest house. At an art exhibition in the local gallery, egocentric artist Gerry Ardwell features himself as the main exhibit. The next morning, Ardwell is found dead, bludgeoned by a brass statue, while a valuable painting has been stolen. Alfie Lynch is missing and DI Gillespie's main suspect. Sister Reginald pleads with Sister Boniface to find the real culprit, a task made harder when the painting is found in Lynch's room and other suspects have alibis

Early-life:
Bryony was born in Portsmouth, the daughter of a teacher and a retired Royal Navy lieutenant-commander. After leaving school, she worked in a pub and used her wages to fund trips to London to appear in fringe theatre. She went on to graduate from Rada in 2008.
Career:
In 2010, Hannah had a small role in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's movie Cemetery Junction (2010). A year later, she appeared in an episode of their sitcom Life's Too Short. Hannah's big break came in 2012 when she was lauded for her role on the stage in The Children's Hour alongside Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss. In the same year, she began playing Cynthia Miller in popular BBC drama Call the Midwife.
