The Young Offenders Christmas Special 2018
Season 1, Episode 1

Fortitude star Robert Sheehan appears as himself in this festive episode of the sitcom. The residents of the council estate where Conor and Jock live are threatened with eviction, but are not about to go down without a fight - and the resulting media circus puts everyone on edge. In the midst of all this mayhem, Conor's mother Mairead is rushed to hospital, and may be more seriously ill than previously thought. When she says she wants to see a white Christmas, the lads vow to make her wish come true - with a little help from Sheehan, who is shooting a film nearby

Robert Sheehan (Actor) .. Himself
Born: January 07, 1988
Best Known For: Misfits and Killing Bono.
Early-life: Robert Michael Adam Sheehan was born on January 7, 1988, in Portlaoise, Ireland. He's the youngest child of policeman Joe and his registrar wife Maria. As a youngster he played various musical instruments, and became interested in acting while playing the lead in his primary school's production of Oliver with a Twist. At 14 he spent three months shooting the film Song for a Raggy Boy; two years later he appeared on stage in Cripple of Innishmaan, but dropped out of acting to study film and TV at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
Career: Sheehan left his course after a year, deciding he didn't want to work behind the camera. Despite his lack of acting training, he began getting roles again, including regular stints in TV series Foreign Exchange and Young Blades. Appearances in The Clinic and The Tudors, and on the big screen in Ghostwood followed, but it was Rock Rivals that first made people sit up and take notice. The Red Riding trilogy was a huge success for Sheehan, and Misfits and Killing Bono sealed his reputation as a young actor of note. More recently he has featured in Love/Hate and The Borrowers.
Quote: "I'm not sure if I want to be an actor. I'd like to do it to see where it takes me, so I'll keep at it. As long as I can keep getting a few jobs, I will be grateful. It is great fun and wonderfully rewarding for a young fella. I will continue as long as I keep getting work."
Trivia: In 2013, he was honoured by University College Dublin's Literary and Historical society.
