With Christmas approaching, Mairéad, Sgt Healy and Conor are preparing for the imminent new arrival - with Conor wanting only the best for his mother. Conor is still a novice at domestic housework, including washing, so Mairéad decides to give him lessons, clearing out his wash basket thoroughly - only to discover a handgun in the basket. Born: February 25, 1972 in Ballinteer, Dublin
Best Known For: Being a comedian.
Early-life: Jason was born in Ballinteer, Dublin, on February 25, 1972. As a child, he wanted to be a singer in a band. Before making it as a stand-up comedian, he worked as an electrician. In 1996, he was a finalist in the So You Think You're Funny stand-up competition. Two years later, he was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1998.
Career: Byrne's high-energy stand-up gigs often involve audience participation. A regular performer in Edinburgh, he was nominated for the main Perrier Award in 2001. His TV credits include Live at the Apollo, Dave's One Night Stand, John Bishop's Only Joking, Jason Byrne's Snaptastic Show and Jason Byrne Hates. His radio work includes Father Figure. In 2015, he toured with the show 20 Years a Clown.
Quote: "I can't cook. When I present a dish to my wife it looks like it's tried to kill itself."
Trivia: Byrne played a hotel receptionist in the film Killing Bono (2011). He used to be a competitive runner.
