Helen Skelton and Dan Walker set off to explore the Holme Valley, uncovering sweeping views, hidden gems, and surprises along the way. They begin high on Castle Hill, Huddersfield's most iconic landmark, where the windswept Victoria Tower looks out across the Pennines. From there, they head into the Stirley Nature Reserve, a former farm now transformed into a haven for wildlife

Born: July 19, 1983 in Carlisle
Best Known For: Blue Peter.
Early-life: Helen Elizabeth Skelton was born in Carlisle on July 19, 1983. She was brought up on a dairy farm in Cumbria and went on to study journalism at Cumbria Institute of the Arts. During her time at college, she worked as an extra on Coronation Street and Cutting It.
Career: In 2005, Skelton became a breakfast presenter on BBC Radio Cumbria. At the time, she was also a reporter on Newsround and Sportsround. Her big break came in 2008 when she replaced Zoe Salmon as a presenter on Blue Peter. Known for her daring stunts, she stayed with the show until 2013. Since leaving Blue Peter, Skelton has reported from Wimbledon and worked on Countryfile, Walk on the Wild Side and Holiday Hit Squad. In 2012, she was a contestant on the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. She has also appeared on a celebrity edition of The Chase and All Star Family Fortunes.
