Best Known For: His portrayal of Adam Dalgliesh in adaptations of PD James' detective novels.
Early-life: Born Roy Anthony Mould in London on June 25, 1941. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In the early 1960s, he worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He also made guest appearances on a number of TV shows in the 1960s and 70s, including Secret Agent, The Dick Emery Show, Crown Court, Z Cars and Space: 1999.
Career: Marsden also starred in the espionage series The Sandbaggers and played a Second World War pilot in the drama Airline. He is best known for his portrayal of Adam Dalgliesh in adaptations of PD James' detective novels, including Death of an Expert Witness, The Black Tower, A Mind to Murder, and A Certain Justice. More recently, he has starred in The Palace, The Green Green Grass, New Tricks, Silent Witness, the TV movie Margaret, The Escape Artist and Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime.

Keith Barron (Actor) .. Rob Ferguson
Born: August 08, 1936 in Mexborough, South Yorkshire
Best Known For: Sitcom Duty Free.
Early-life: Born in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, on August 8, 1936, he was the son of a wholesale provisions merchant who wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Barron said a sadistic teacher fear forced him to leave school, pushing him into acting. After National Service in the RAF, he joined an amateur dramatics group also attended by Brian Blessed. That led to training at Sheffield Playhouse and his first job with a repertory company in the city, earning £1 a week.
Career: Barron later moved to London, where he performed in several Dennis Potter plays in the West End. His TV debut came in a 1961 episode of The Avengers. It was the small screen plays Stand Up Nigel Barton, and Vote, Vote, Vote For Nigel Barton, both by Potter, that brought him to people's attention in the mid-1960s. His best-known work is on TV, but he has starred in films including The Land That Time Forgot, At The Earth's Core, Nothing But the Night and Voyage Of The Damned. His biggest success came playing philandering husband David in 1980s sitcom Duty Free. He went on to appear in Close Relations, Take Me Home, Where the Heart Is, NCS Manhunt, Brief Encounters and Being Eileen. He died on November 15, 2017 at the age of 83.

Trivia: In 2014, Barron toured with fellow original cast members Gwen Taylor and Neil Stacey in a stage version of Duty Free.

Born: September 12, 1927 in Stoke-on-Trent
Best Known For: Appearing in several David Lynch films.
Early-life: Born Frederick Charles Jones on September 12, 1927, in Stoke-on-Trent. He never intended to become an actor; in fact, he spent the first decade of his working life as a laboratory assistant at a ceramics factory, only taking to the stage in amateur productions. On eventually deciding on a career-change, Jones won a scholarship to study at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in Kent. He then spent time working with repertory companies.
Career: Jones quickly gained a reputation as a fine character actor while working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Early TV roles came in Z Cars, The Baron and The Avengers. His first film was Marat/Sade in 1967. He and Dudley Sutton are the only actors to have appeared in the original and revamped versions of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Other TV work has come in the likes of Jackanory, Inspector Morse, The District Nurse and The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole. Jones has become a cult hero thanks to his film work for legendary studio Hammer (Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed and The Satanic Rites of Dracula) and director David Lynch (The Elephant Man, Dune, Wild at Heart, On the Air and Hotel Room). Jones has played Sandy in Emmerdale since 2005.
