Early-life:
Clarke was born and raised in Liverpool and is now well-known for her Scouse accent.
Career:
Clarke began her career in showbusiness on late-night entertainment show, What's On, before appearing in several episodes of Brookside. She cemented her reputation after starring in low-budget film Letter to Brezhnev, which went on to become regarded as one of the most important British films of all time. Clarke has since dipped her toe in allsorts, from various films, to music videos, to presenting. The success of The Good Sex Guide, which she hosted, resulted in her publishing her own tome, Margi Clarke's Better Than Sex Cookbook. More recently, Clarke has reprised her role as Jackie Dobbs in Corrie, appeared on Celebrity Cash in the Attic and starred alongside Tina Malone in Scousers in St Helens.
