Antoine de Caunes (Presenter)

Best Known For: Hosting Eurotrash.
Early-life: Antoine de Caunes was born on December 1, 1953, in Paris. His father Georges was a newsreader and his mother Jacqueline Joubert was an actress, announcer and comedienne. His parents' celebrity status meant he quickly became used to life in the limelight, and it came as no surprise when, after a brief dabble with journalism, he embarked on a TV career. He started out hosting Nulle Part Ailleurs on French channel Canal Plus, a station with a reputation for offbeat programming.
Career: As well as TV presenting in France, de Caunes has acted in movies such as Pentimento, Les Deux Papas Et La Maman and La Divine Poursuite. He's also directed five movies. De Caunes' first job in the UK was presenting Rapido on BBC Two in 1987. In 1993 he returned to present Eurotrash and then Le Show for Channel 4. He provided the voice of Stuart Little in the French dubbed version of the hit comedy.

Trivia: Away from showbusiness, de Caunes enjoys walking, cycling and writing - his crime thrillers have become best-sellers in France.

Early-life: Born Kylie Ann Minogue on May 28, 1968, in Melbourne, Australia. Her parents are from Maesteg, Wales. The eldest of three children, her sister Dannii is also an actress and singer, while brother Brendan is a cameraman. She wanted a career in showbusiness from an early age. At 10, she had a role in Australian wartime soap The Sullivans and played Jason Donovan's sister in Skyways. She hasn't looked back since.
Career: Playing tomboy Charlene in Neighbours turned her into a star in 1986. Two years later, after becoming one of the show's biggest stars, she left. Minogue settled in the UK and began a successful music career, topping the charts with I Should Be So Lucky. Big-screen offering The Delinquents also boosted her profile. In 2001 she enjoyed her most successful era for years with No 1 album Fever and No 1 single Can't Get You Out Of My Head. She also sang at the Sydney Olympics and provided a voice for the Magic Roundabout movie in 2005. She's successfully battled breast cancer and continues to tour and release albums.
