Burt Lancaster (Actor) .. Jared Maddox
Born: November 02, 1913 in New York
Best Known For: Being one of the best actors of his generation.
Early-life: Born Burton Stephen Lancaster in New York on November 2, 1913. He joined the circus as an acrobat until a hand injury forced him to quit. He was introduced to acting in the army during the Second World War when he performed with the United Service Organization (USO).
Career: After appearing in a Broadway play, Lancaster attracted the attention of a Hollywood agent, which led to him making his film debut alongside Ava Gardner in The Killers (1946). Lancaster went on to win an Academy Award for Elmer Gantry (1960) and he was also nominated for From Here to Eternity (1953), Birdman of Alcatraz (1962) and Atlantic City (1980). He demonstrated his acrobatic ability in The Crimson Pirate (1952). Other film credits included Apache (1954), The Kentuckian (1955), Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), and The Unforgiven (1960). In a glittering career, he worked alongside a number of Hollywood icons, including Kirk Douglas, Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Audrey Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Paul Newman and Sophia Loren. He died on October 20, 1994, at the age of 80.

Trivia: Lancaster's first TV role was a guest spot on Sesame Street in 1969.

Born: January 05, 1931 in San Diego, California
Best Known For: The Godfather.
Early-life: Robert Selden Duvall was born on January 5, 1931, in San Diego, California. He is a direct descendent of Confederate General Robert E Lee. His father was an admiral, his mother was an actress. He has two brothers. After graduating from Principia College in Illinois, he enrolled in the US Army and saw combat in Korea. On being discharged, he studied drama at the Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York, during which time he became friends with Dustin Hoffman. The pair shared an apartment before finding fame.
Career: Duvall's first professional work came on stage. His TV debut was in a 1959 episode of Armstrong Circle Theatre, while his first film was 1962's To Kill a Mockingbird. Other early movies were The Chase, Bullitt, True Grit and MASH. In 1972, he received his first Oscar nomination for The Godfather. Nominations since have been for Apocalypse Now, The Great Santini, The Apostle (which he also wrote and directed) and A Civil Action. He won the Best Actor award for Tender Mercies in 1983. Other films include The Godfather: Part II, Sling Blade, Open Range, Secondhand Lions, Thank You for Smoking, Crazy Heart and Get Low.

Best Known For: Directing Death Wish, and his damning restaurant reviews.
Early-life: Michael Robert Winner was born on October 30, 1935, in London. The son of a property tycoon, he went to a Quaker school in Letchworth, and at 14 was writing film reviews for the Kensington Post. He reluctantly read law at Cambridge, but soon came to enjoy his student days, becoming editor of the prestigious Varsity newspaper. He showed a flair for directing, and was taken on by the BBC before delivering low-budget offerings such as Shoot To Kill and Some Like It Cool.
Career: Winner began writing screenplays in his 20s, but is best known for directing such movies as Hannibal Brooks, The Jokers, and The Mechanic. His Death Wish movies helped boost Charles Bronson's career. He won first prize at the Cologne Film Festival for his adaptation of Alan Ayckbourn's play A Chorus Of Disapproval, and hosted the TV series Michael Winner's True Crimes. He also directed acclaimed stage-play Madame Melville, starring Macaulay Culkin. His forays into journalism as an uncompromising culinary reviewer won him enemies and admirers in equal number, and in 2004 he published his autobiography, Winner Takes All. He died on January 21, 2013 at the age of 77.
