Nicolas Cage (Actor) .. Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider
Born: January 07, 1964 in Long Beach, California
Best Known For: The National Treasures movies.
Early-life: Nicolas Kim Coppola was born in Long Beach, California, on January 7, 1964. His mum, Joy Vogelsang, was a successful choreographer, and his dad, August, was a literature professor and the brother of director Francis Ford Coppola and Rocky star Talia Shire. Cage discovered his passion for acting while still in his teens, and studied theatre at Beverly Hills High. He made his feature film debut in Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982, but most of his scenes were cut. He made ends meet selling popcorn.
Career: Cage changed his name from Coppola to Cage (inspired by Marvel comic hero Luke Cage) so he could achieve success in his own right. However, he got some of his earliest breaks in the movies Rumble Fish, The Cotton Club and Peggy Sue Got Married, which were directed by his uncle Francis. The actor won critical acclaim for films including Raising Arizona, Moonstruck and Wild at Heart, before picking up an Oscar in 1995 for his portrayal of an alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas. After that, he branched out into action films, making Con Air, The Rock and Face/Off, but returned to his offbeat roots with movies like Adaptation, Lord of War, The Weather Man and World Trade Center. Since then he has made a string of big-budget movies, including National Treasure: Book of Secrets (a sequel to his 2004 hit National Treasure), The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Season of the Witch. His 2011 film Drive Angry was a box-office flop, but he always has a number of films in the pipeline.
Quote: "Sometimes I choose movies that can help me like therapy - you do something positive with a negative emotion."
Trivia: In 2001, Cage was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Fine Arts by California State University, Fullerton.
Eva Mendes (Actor) .. Roxanne Simpson
Born: March 05, 1974 in Miami
Best Known For: A string of Hollywood films.
Early-life: Eva was born in Miami on March 5, 1974, to Cuban parents, and raised in Los Angeles by her mother after her parents' divorce. Eva studied marketing at California State University, Northridge, but dropped out to pursue an acting career.
Career: Mendes had small roles in a number of TV shows and films before her big break came when she played Denzel Washington's girlfriend in Training Day (2001). This led to roles in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) and Stuck on You (2003). She played the female lead opposite Will Smith in Hitch (2005). Recent work includes roles in Ghost Rider (2007), We Own the Night (2007) and The Other Guys (2010). Away from acting, Mendes has appeared in promotional work for Revlon Cosmetics and a number of other brands, and she has launched a number of household products under the Vida brand at Macy's department store.
Quote: "The celebrity world can be so ugly. Everyone seems to have slept with everyone else and it's some sort of strange weird cycle."
Trivia: Mendes was nominated for a Golden Raspberry for her performance in The Women (2008).
Wes Bentley (Actor) .. Blackheart
Sam Elliott (Actor) .. Caretaker
Born: August 09, 1944 in Sacramento, California
Early-life: Samuel Pack Elliott was born in Sacramento, California, on August 9, 1944. As a teenager, he moved with his family to Oregon. He studied at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington, where he was cast as one of the leads in a production of Guys and Dolls. A local newspaper review suggested he should consider becoming a professional actor.
Best Known For: A number of films.
Career: Elliott started out as a character actor and was often cast in Westerns. His first film was as a card player in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). In the early 1970s, he had a recurring role on the TV series Mission: Impossible. In 1976, he played the lead roles in miniseries Once An Eagle and the film Lifeguard. He made guest appearances in the likes of Gunsmoke, The Streets of San Francisco, and Hawaii Five-O. His film credits include Mask (1985), Road House (1989), Sibling Rivalry (1990), Tombstone (1993), The Big Lebowski (1998), We Were Soldiers (2002), Hulk (2003), Thank You for Smoking (2005), The Golden Compass (2007), Up in the Air (2009) and Draft Day (2014).
Quote: "I think anytime you can affect people in general, in a positive way, then you're a lucky individual."
Trivia: Elliott was nominated for Golden Globes for Buffalo Girls (1995) and the TV movie Conagher (1991), in which he starred alongside his wife, Katharine Ross.
Peter Fonda (Actor) .. Mephistopheles
Born: February 23, 1940 in New York
Best Known For: Classic biker movie Easy Rider.
Early-life: Peter Fonda was born in 1940, the second child of Henry Fonda's second marriage to socialite Frances Ford Seymour; the union ended in 1950 when she committed suicide in a mental institution on her 42nd birthday. Peter had an often distant relationship with his father, which was only reconciled in the years prior to Henry's death in 1982. Peter decided to follow in his dad's footsteps at an early age, and began his professional acting career at the Omaha Playhouse - the same place Henry had started out several decades before. After tackling a handful of decent if uninspiring parts, he became known for his roles in such low-budget counterculture classics as The Wild Angels and The Trip. Then came Easy Rider, a project he not only starred in as the laconic Captain America, but also co-wrote and produced.
Career: It's been claimed Peter Fonda earned more money from Easy Rider's massive global success than his father gained in his entire career. In the years since it was released, his big-screen offerings have largely failed to live up to his early promise. The few high points include 1971 Western The Hired Hand, which he directed and starred in, and an Oscar nomination for 1997's Ulee's Gold; he lost out to old pal Jack Nicholson, who won for As Good As It Gets. Recent projects have included playing the Devil in Ghost Rider, a cameo in biker comedy Wild Hogs, and a decent remake of Western classic 3.10 To Yuma.
Quote: "I've met - and I'm not trying to be uppity - most of my major goals in life."
Trivia: He turned down the male lead in Love Story (1970).
Matt Long (Actor) .. Young Johnny Blaze
Donal Logue (Actor) .. Mack
Brett Cullen (Actor) .. Barton Blaze
