Early-life: Born John Christopher Depp II on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was particularly close to his grandfather and was devastated by his death, which coincided with the family moving to Florida. His parents split when he was 15, an event which prompted the adolescent to drop out of school. Depp sang with a series of bands, including one named the Kids. He became a ballpoint-pen salesman to support himself and his wife, Lori Anne Allison.
Career: On a visit to Los Angeles, Depp met Nicolas Cage who took him to see his agent. Depp made his movie debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street, but didn't become a star until the TV series 21 Jump Street. Despite gaining fame via the series, he quit to concentrate on offbeat movies. He has since gained critical acclaim in Edward Scissorhands (where he began his long association with director Tim Burton), Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Blow, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Finding Neverland, Chocolat, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and the Pirates of the Carribean movies - he received his first Oscar nomination for his role in the original film. He always has a number of films in the pipeline and his recent movies include Alice in Wonderland, The Tourist, Dark Shadows, The Lone Ranger and Transcendence.

Early-life: Christian Charles Philip Bale was born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, on January 30, 1974. He has three older sisters. His father was a commercial pilot, his mother a circus dancer. Performing runs in the family - his grandfather was a comedian and children's entertainer, while his great uncle was an actor and John Wayne's stand-in for two movies. Christian was raised in England, Portugal and California, and made his acting debut in a cereal commercial in 1983.
Career: At the age of 10, Christian made his West End debut in The Nerd, opposite Rowan Atkinson. He was hand-picked from 4,000 auditionees to take the lead role in Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun in 1987. Unlike many child stars, he has successfully made the transition to serious grown-up actor. Films since include Little Women, The Portrait of a Lady, Velvet Goldmine, American Psycho, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Shaft, Reign of Fire, Equilibrium and The Machinist. His status soared after playing Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins and its sequels. Early-life: William Gaither Crudup was born in Manhasset, New York, on July 8, 1948, to Georgann and Thomas. Billy has two brothers, Tommy and Brooks. As a youngster he lived in Texas and Florida. He attended the University of North Carolina and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In 1995, he made his debut on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia.
Career: Crudup's first big film role was in Grind, which was made in 1994 but didn't see the light of day until 1997. He followed this up with roles in Sleepers (1996), Everyone Says I Love You (1996) and Inventing the Abbotts (1997). More recent film credits include Almost Famous (2000), Big Fish (2003), The Good Shepherd (2006), Watchmen (2009), Public Enemies (2009) and Eat Pray Love (2010). He regularly returns to performing on the stage.

Giovanni Ribisi (Actor) .. Alvin Karpis

Best Known For: A string of TV and film roles.
Early-life: Antonino Giovanni Ribisi was born in Los Angeles on December 17, 1974, to Gay and Albert. He is the twin brother of actress Marissa Ribisi and the brother of voice artist Gina Ribisi. He made his acting TV debut in an episode of Highway to Heaven.
Career: For a number of years, his acting career has been made up of recurring and guest roles on a number of TV shows, including My Two Dads, Married with Children, The Wonder Years, Friends (as Phoebe's brother, Frank), Chicago Hope, Walker, Texas Ranger and My Name Is Earl. His film credits include Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004), Public Enemies (2009) and Avatar (2009). Recently, he starred in short-lived American sitcom Dads.

Early-life: Stephen Graham Kelly was born on August 3, 1973 in Kirkby, Lancashire to a pediatric nurse mother and social worker father. He joined Youth Theatre at 14 before studying for a BTEC in Performing Arts and then getting a place at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London. For years, he played small parts in TV shows and films before landing his first big role in Snatch (2000).
Career: Since playing the role of Tommy in Snatch (2000), Graham's film credits have included Gangs of New York (2002), Public Enemies (2009) and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). He was cast as Combo in This Is England (2006) and its TV sequels This Is England '86 (2010), This Is England '88 (2011) and This Is England '90 (2015). From 2010 to 2014, he played the infamous gangster Al Capone in the TV drama Boardwalk Empire.

Early-life: Stephen Dorff was born on July 29, 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia. His father is film and TV composer Steve Dorff, who worked on such movies as Every Which Way But Loose, Bronco Billy, and Honky Tonk Man. His brother Andrew is a musician, while Stephen can play the piano. He has two half sisters. His parents advised him against being an actor, but he decided to pursue his dream anyway, and began working professionally from an early age.
Career: Dorff made his TV debut aged 12 in an episode of Diff'rent Strokes. Roles in TV movies followed. He worked steadily throughout his teens, making the transition to more adult parts in 1992's The Power of One. Two years later, the Beatles movie Backbeat really put him on the map.
