Best Known For: A string of movies.
Early-life: Dennis William Quaid was born in Houston, Texas, on April 9, 1954. His mother was an estate agent, his father an electrician who was related to Western star Gene Autry. Dennis's older brother, Randy, is also an actor. They have a half-sibling called Buddy. Dennis studied acting at university, but dropped out so he could begin his career after seeing Randy's success in the early 1970s.
Career: After an initial struggle to find work, Quaid had a number of small roles on TV and in film before enjoying success with 1979's Breaking Away. He co-starred with Randy, as well as the Keach brothers and the Carradines, in the Western The Long Riders a year later. Quaid gained great reviews for the movie The Right Stuff in 1983, the same year he made the disastrous Jaws 3-D. The late-1980s brought him a series of box-office hits, such as Enemy Mine (1985), The Big Easy (1986), Innerspace (1987), Suspect (1987) and DOA (1988). Movies since then include Great Balls of Fire (1989), Wyatt Earp (1994), Traffic (2000) and Far from Heaven (2002), for which he won a clutch of awards. More recent offerings include GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra (2009), Pandorum (2009) and the remake of Footloose (2011). He starred in short-lived period drama Vegas, which ran for one season before being cancelled.

Tyrese Gibson (Actor) .. AJ
Born: December 30, 1978 in Los Angeles
Best Known For: Playing Roman in the Fast and the Furious franchise.
Early-life: Tyrese Darnell Gibson was born in Los Angeles on December 30, 1978. His mother, Priscilla, raised him and his three older siblings as a single parent. After singing the phrase `Always Coca-Cola" in a commercial, Tyrese landed work as a model for the likes of Guess and Tommy Hilfiger, although deep down he just wanted to be a singer.
Career: In 1998, Gibson was signed by RCA Records. His debut single, Nobody Else, reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Later the same year, he released his self-titled album. He continues to record albums. He first made an impact as an actor in John Singleton's Baby Boy (2001), but he is best known for playing Roman Pearce in the Fast and the Furious franchise. His other film credits include Four Brothers (2005), Transformers (2007) and two sequels, Legion (2010) and Black Nativity (2013).

Giovanni Ribisi (Actor) .. Elliott
Born: December 17, 1974 in Los Angeles
Best Known For: A string of TV and film roles.
Early-life: Antonino Giovanni Ribisi was born in Los Angeles on December 17, 1974, to Gay and Albert. He is the twin brother of actress Marissa Ribisi and the brother of voice artist Gina Ribisi. He made his acting TV debut in an episode of Highway to Heaven.
Career: For a number of years, his acting career has been made up of recurring and guest roles on a number of TV shows, including My Two Dads, Married with Children, The Wonder Years, Friends (as Phoebe's brother, Frank), Chicago Hope, Walker, Texas Ranger and My Name Is Earl. His film credits include Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004), Public Enemies (2009) and Avatar (2009). Recently, he starred in short-lived American sitcom Dads.

Miranda Otto (Actor) .. Kelly
Born: December 16, 1967 in Brisbane
Best Known For: War of the Worlds and two Lord of the Rings movies.
Early-life: Miranda was born in Brisbane on December 16, 1967 to actors Barry and Lindsay Otto. Her sister, Gracie Otto, is also an actor. At a young age, Miranda appeared in plays at the Nimrod Theatre. She made her film debut at the age of 18 in Emma's War (1986). Minor film roles followed in Initiation (1987) and The 13th Floor (1988). She went on to graduate from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney in 1990.
Career: Otto's big break came in the movie The Girl Who Came Late (1991). It earned her first Australian Film Institute nomination. She was nominated again the following year for her performance in The Last Days of Chez Nous (1992). Roles followed in Love Serenade (1996), The Well (1997), Doing Time for Patsy Cline (1997) and In the Winter Dark (1998). Her profile increased globally in 2000 when she starred opposite Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in What Lies Beneath. She played Eowyn in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). More recently, she has starred in War of the Worlds (2005), Blessed (2009) and I, Frankenstein (2014).

Hugh Laurie (Actor) .. Ian
Born: June 11, 1959 in Oxford
Best Known For: His double-act with Stephen Fry
Early-life: Born James Hugh Calum Laurie on June 11, 1959, in Oxford, the youngest of a doctor's four children; his father was also a gold medal-winning rower at the 1948 Olympics. After attending Eton, Hugh followed him into the sport, competing for England and in the Boat Race while at Cambridge, where he studied archaeology and anthropology. While president of the university's Footlights entertainment group, he met Stephen Fry. After touring Australia with their revue The Cellar Tapes, they teamed up professionally.
Career: Fry and Laurie's stage success led to the TV sketch show Alfresco, which also featured Emma Thompson, Ben Elton and Robbie Coltrane. In 1987, Elton cast him in sitcom Blackadder the Third as amiable idiot George. A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Jeeves and Wooster cemented his reputation as one of the UK's brightest comedy talents. He appeared with several celebrity pals in the movies Peter's Friends, Maybe Baby, and Sense and Sensibility. Other projects include 101 Dalmatians, The Man in the Iron Mask, Stuart Little and its sequel, the Flight of the Phoenix remake and TV series Fortysomething. His novel, The Gun Seller, was also a hit. His award-winning role in House turned him into an international star. Since it ended in 2012, Laurie has largely concentrated on music.
