Early-life: Born January 15, 1965, in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. He has three older sisters. The son of a primary school headmaster, he grew up in Broughshane, County Antrim. Keen on sport, he excelled at rugby and football, and was also musical, singing in local festivals. He originally intended to be a teacher, but school productions and amateur dramatics inspired him to become a professional actor. He left the University of Ulster a year into studying for a degree in French to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where fellow students included Stephen Tompkinson and Rufus Sewell.
Career: After working in theatre, Nesbitt made his TV debut in Boon and his first film, Hear My Song, in 1991. He hasn't looked back, appearing in a string of hits on both the big and small screens, including Waking Ned, Jude, Touching Evil, and Playing The Field. Cold Feet turned him into a major TV star, while acclaimed film Bloody Sunday marked him out as a gifted serious actor. The lead role of a maverick cop in TV drama Murphy's Law was written especially for him. He's also starred in Quite Ugly One Morning, Match Point and Five Minutes of Heaven. Nesbitt has also been seen in The Deep, Babylon, Monroe, The Hobbit. and The Missing.

Fionnula Flanagan (Actor) .. Annie O'Shea
Born: December 10, 1941 in Dublin, Ireland
Best Known For: Playing Martha Bellison in The Invention of Lying.
Early-life: Fionnghuala Manon Flanagan was born on December 10, 1941 in Dublin, Ireland. Her parents were Rosanna and Irish Army officer Terence Niall. She grew up speaking English and Irish as her parents wanted her and her four siblings to learn Irish, even though they did not speak the language themselves. Fionnula was educated in England and Switzerland. She trained at Abbey Theatre in Dublin and travelled Europe before moving to Los Angeles, California, United States in 1968.
Career: Flanagan's acting breakthrough in Ireland was in the Irish language play An Triail. She made her Broadway debut in 1968 in Brian Friel's Lovers. Flanagan is known for her interpretations of works by the author James Joyce, having played Gerty McDowell in the film version of Ulysses (1967), all six main female roles in the film adaptation of James Joyce's Women (1985) and theatrical productions of Ulysses in Nighttown and Women. Flanagan has appeared on many American TV shows and TV films, including The Ewok Adventure (1984), How the West Was Won, Murder, She Wrote and Rich Man, Poor Man. She has made a number of big screen appearances, including in The Others (2001), Four Brothers (2005), Transamerica (2005), Yes Man (2008) and The Invention of Lying (2009). Between 2006 and 2008, she played Rose Caffee in the American TV drama Brotherhood. More recently, she appeared in the spin-off of EastEnders, Redwater.

Susan Lynch (Actor) .. Maggie
Born: June 05, 1971 in Co Armagh, Northern Ireland
Best Known For: A string of quality roles.
Early-life: Susan Lynch was born on June 5, 1971, in Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, to an Italian mother and Irish father. She grew up with four siblings in isolation (one of them is actor John Lynch). With no TV, and a limited electricity supply, the family made their own entertainment. She trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, and made her TV debut in a 1991 episode of The Bill. Following a bit-part in the BBC One play Running Late, she made a memorable appearance in one of the first Cracker episodes, To Say I Love You in 1993. A year later she was cast in critically acclaimed blockbuster Interview with the Vampire, and also starred in The Secret of Roan Inish.
Career: After a standout turn in small-screen epic Ivanhoe, her 1998 movie Waking Ned became a surprise hit in the United States, and in 2001 she starred with Johnny Depp in Jack the Ripper thriller From Hell. She has since starred in The Mapmaker, Enduring Love, Soundproof, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister. On stage she has appeared in The Night Season at London's Royal National Theatre, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at the Almeida, and Dancing at Lughnasa at the Old Vic Theatre, London.
