Early-life:
Born on December 27, 1977 in Dublin, Ireland. Sinead studied at University College Dublin, where she got a degree in sociology and history. Her first professional acting role was in Sunburn (1999). She has a younger brother and sister, Rory and Grainne, who are also actors.
Career:
Keenan appeared in the Irish soap opera Fair City for a year but left due to fears of being type cast. She then appeared in the film On The Nose (2001) before playing Lisa Cassidy in Irish sitcom The Cassidys. Keenan had guest roles in Murder City, Taggart and Doctors, as well as appearing in the films Conspiracy of Silence (2003) and Trouble with Sex (2005), before she joined ITV comedy drama Moving Wallpaper. Next, she played Nina Pickering in supernatural drama Being Human. Since her first appearances in Being Human, she has appeared in such series as Doctor Who, Silent Witness, London Irish and Little Boy Blue.
