Early-life:
Hannah Marie Tointon was born in Southend on December 28, 1987 to Carol and Ken. Her sister Kara is also an actress. Hannah made her TV debut in CBBC sitcom Kerching! in 2003. Roles followed in Star, The Bill, Murder City and Dream Team.
Career:
Tointon's big break came in 2007 when she began playing Katy Fox in Hollyoaks. She stayed in the show for a year. Since then, she has appeared in Doctors, The Children, The Inbetweeners, Switch, The Hour, Midsomer Murders and Call the Midwife. In April 2014, it was announced that Tointon will be starring alongside her sister in the third series of ITV drama Mr Selfridge.

Trivia:
Tointon won a British Soap Award in 2008 in the Spectacular Scene of the Year category. She shared the award with her Hollyoaks co-stars.
