Best Known For: The US version of Life on Mars.
Early-life: Jason was born in Dublin on August 6, 1972 to Veronica and Stephen. He has a brother, Stephen, and a sister, Rebecca. He studied drama at Trinity College Dublin before moving to London to pursue an acting career.
Career: O'Mara initially mixed a stage career with work in a number of TV series, including Peak Practice, Berkeley Square, The Bill, Playing the Field, Monarch of the Glen and High Stakes. He made his American TV debut in Steven Spielberg's 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers. He relocated to Los Angeles and went on to star in The Agency, In Justice, Men in Trees, the US version of Life on Mars, Terra Nova, Vegas and The Good Wife.

Trivia: O'Mara became an American citizen in 2009.

Born: November 13, 1951 in Lewisham
Best Known For: Playing Sergeant June Ackland in The Bill.
Early-life: Trudie was born in Lewisham on November 13, 1951. She made her TV debut in the 1980 drama series Fox. In 1983 she played WPC Ackland in one-off TV drama called Woodentop. It formed the basis for The Bill.
Career: Goodwin starred in The Bill between 1984 and 2007, making her the longest-serving member of the cast. After leaving the show, she appeared in Heartbeat and Doctors. In 2011, she joined the cast of Emmerdale, playing Georgia Sharma.

Trivia: Goodwin has appeared on Countdown in Dictionary Corner.
