Denis Stamper Lawson was born on September 27, 1947, in Perthshire, Scotland. His sister, Carol, is the mother of actor Ewan McGregor. Their parents hailed from Glasgow, but moved to Crieff to escape the poverty-stricken city. They later owned a watchmaker and jeweller's store. He remains very close to his family, and inspired Ewan to become an actor. Lawson left Crieff in the early 1970s to pursue his career in London.
Career:
Lawson's first big success was in West End musical Pal Joey. He also appeared in such memorable TV productions as The Merchant of Venice, Rock Follies and The Man in the Iron Mask. He had a small role in the original Star Wars trilogy, was in the acclaimed Local Hero in 1983, and took the lead in sitcom The Kit Curran Radio Show. He has rarely been out of work since, whether it's on stage, film or TV. Among his other projects are The Ambassador, Bob Martin, Hornblower, Holby City, Bleak House, Robin Hood, Enid, Just William, Marchlands and New Tricks. He's also a director and has worked with his nephew on the theatre production Little Malcolm and his Struggle Against the Eunuchs, and short film Solid Geometry.

Early-life:
Nicholas Simon Lyndhurst was born on April 21, 1961, in Emsworth, Hampshire. He was raised by his single mum Liz, but has described his father Joe as a 'gentle man, very funny, very charming'. Nicholas subsequently had little contact with Joe after turning 17. At the age of eight he decided he wanted to be an actor, and at 10 he began training while boarding at the Corona Stage Academy. Appearances in adverts paid for his studies.
Career:
Lyndhurst made his TV debut in an adaptation of Heidi in 1974. He followed this with roles in The Prince and the Pauper, and The Tomorrow People. In 1978, Lyndhurst began his transition into more grown-up roles by playing Ronnie Barker's son in Porridge spin-off Going Straight, and classic sitcom Butterflies, but it was Only Fools And Horses that made him a household name when it began in 1981. Since then, he's also starred in The Two of Us, The Piglet Files, David Copperfield, Gulliver's Travels, Goodnight Sweetheart, After You've Gone and Only Fools prequel Rock & Chips. He is now a regular in New Tricks.

Early-life:
Tamzin Outhwaite was born on November 5, 1970, in Ilford, Essex. Her mother is Italian. She discovered her love of performing at a young age and would put on plays with her two younger brothers. She became involved with local amateur dramatics in her teens and admits that her schoolwork suffered, although she always did well in drama. After taking her O-levels at 16, Outhwaite signed up for a three-year acting course at the London Studio Centre, where she was voted Most Outstanding All-Rounder.
Career:
Outhwaite took small parts in various West End productions and also appeared on TV in The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Her big break came in 1997, when dramatist Alan Ayckbourn spotted her in the chorus of a musical and offered her the lead role in his play Absent Friends. She then played the part of Melanie Healy in EastEnders for three years. Since leaving Walford, she has starred in the dramas Red Cap and Final Demand, and won rave reviews for her performance as a single mum in the improvised drama Out of Control. Other work includes an appearance in Fast Freddie, The Widow and Me, Doctor Who and Marple. She has also appeared on the stage in revivals of Boeing Boeing and Sweet Charity, and is the lead actress in New Tricks.

Early-life:
Born in London in 1943, Lamb joined the oil industry, which resulted in him working in Libya and Canada, where he attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. This developed his amateur interest in acting into a professional level, performing at Canada's Stratford Festival in 1975-1976. He returned to the UK, and became a regular cast member, along with Kate O'Mara, in the BBC's North Sea ferry based soap Triangle (1981-83), in which he played Matt Taylor, the ship's Chief Engineer.
Career:
Other credits include The New Avengers, The Professionals, Fox, Minder, Get Back, Lovejoy, Get Back, A Touch of Frost, Our Friends in the North, Taggart, Casualty, Kavanagh QC, Spooks, Midsomer Murders and The Bill. Lamb has also appeared in various films including the 1980s hit Buster also starring Phil Collins and Julie Walters, as Peter Chase in Essex Boys and in 1983, had a small speaking role in the blockbuster Superman III. Most recently, Lamb has been seen in Gavin & Stacey playing Gavin's father, Michael Shipman. In 2008, he began playing the part of twisted, manipulative Archie Mitchell in Eastenders.

Early-life:
Eva Pope was born on November 16, 1967. She began acting as a pupil at St Peter's secondary school in Orrell, Wigan, but was expelled from college for not attending lessons. Undeterred, Pope won a place at London's prestigious Webber Douglas drama school, and supported herself by waitressing, doing bar work and cleaning.
Career:
She made her name in Coronation Street as wickedly flirtatious Tanya Pooley before starring in a variety of TV series, including Grafters, Four Fathers, and My Fragile Heart. She was also cast in the lead role in Oscar-nominated live-action short film Holiday Romance. The sultry actress set pulses racing as nurse Claire Brightwell in popular ITV medical drama Peak Practice. Eagle-eyed fans will remember Pope from previous episodes of Peak Practice, in which she played minor guest roles in 1997 and 2000. She's also played no-nonsense prison warden Frances Myers in Bad Girls and headmistress Rachel Mason in Waterloo Road.

Early-life:
Born Lucy Jane Baker on June 25, 1970 in Reading, Berkshire. She trained at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead. Her first acting role was in an episode of Doctor Who in 1983, when she was a child. She took the stage name of Benjamin because it is her brother's first name.
Career:
Benjamin starred in the first and fourth series of children's TV show Press Gang, where she played Julie Craig. She appeared in two series of the sitcom Close to Home and in the soap opera Jupiter Moon. Her other TV roles in the 1990s included The Bill, Bottom, Dangerfield and Missing. She joined the cast of EastEnders in 1998 as Lisa Fowler and stayed with the soap opera until 2003, returning for one episode in 2010. Since EastEnders, Benjamin has appeared in Casualty, Holby City, New Tricks and Doctors. She also played Maggie in comedy series Detectorists. Aside from TV, Benjamin has appeared in various theatre productions, including a UK tour of West End stage show Hairspray.
