Tina Hobley (Actor)
Born: May 20, 1972 in London
Best Known For: Holby City and her Corrie days.
Early-life: Very shy as a child, London-born Tina was sent to speech and drama classes in an attempt to counter her introversion. Hobley enrolled with a very strict speech and drama teacher, whom she adored and stayed with for many years, before moving from there to the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art (WDADA).
Career: Hobley is best known for playing feisty ward sister Chrissie Williams in BBC medical drama Holby City. After graduating from WDADA, where she trained from 1990 to 1993, Hobley starred in a number of TV dramas, including Coronation Street, Harbour Lights and The Bill. In 2014, she took part in Celebrity MasterChef. She has also appeared in All Star Mr & Mrs, Comic Relief Does Fame Academy and Big Star's Little Star with her daughter Olivia. In early 2016, she was a contestant on Channel 4's sporting reality show The Jump.

Jeremy Sheffield (Actor)
Born: March 17, 1966 in Kelvedon, Essex
Best Known For: Holby City
Early-life: Born in Kelvedon, Essex, on March 17, 1966, the son of a businessman and a teacher. His adventurous father once skippered a boat halfway round the world. His brother is a pilot. The family moved to Miami when Sheffield was young and he maintains a home there, despite sharing rented accommodation in London when filming. At age five he began ballet lessons, and by 10 was good enough to earn a place at the Royal Ballet School. Seven years later, he joined the dance company full-time.
Career: Sheffield appeared in several major ballet productions as well as in Queen's I Want to Break Free video. While in Cinderella, he sustained injuries which ended his career. He made his acting debut as an extra in EastEnders. Several adverts and Natalie Imbruglia's video Torn followed. He featured in the films Safe Haven and Anna Karenina, and on TV in Merlin, The Governor, and Her Own Rules. Holby City made him a household name in 1999, but he left in 2003. Other projects include Linda Green, The Afternoon Play, Hearts of Gold, Creep, The Wedding Date, Murder in Suburbia and Last Chance Harvey. He joined the cast of Hollyoaks in 2012.

Denis Lawson (Actor)
Born: September 27, 1947 in Perthshire, Scotland
Best Known For: Being Ewan McGregor's uncle.
Early-life: Denis Stamper Lawson was born on September 27, 1947, in Perthshire, Scotland. His sister, Carol, is the mother of actor Ewan McGregor. Their parents hailed from Glasgow, but moved to Crieff to escape the poverty-stricken city. They later owned a watchmaker and jeweller's store. He remains very close to his family, and inspired Ewan to become an actor. Lawson left Crieff in the early 1970s to pursue his career in London.
Career: Lawson's first big success was in West End musical Pal Joey. He also appeared in such memorable TV productions as The Merchant of Venice, Rock Follies and The Man in the Iron Mask. He had a small role in the original Star Wars trilogy, was in the acclaimed Local Hero in 1983, and took the lead in sitcom The Kit Curran Radio Show. He has rarely been out of work since, whether it's on stage, film or TV. Among his other projects are The Ambassador, Bob Martin, Hornblower, Holby City, Bleak House, Robin Hood, Enid, Just William, Marchlands and New Tricks. He's also a director and has worked with his nephew on the theatre production Little Malcolm and his Struggle Against the Eunuchs, and short film Solid Geometry.

Emma Samms (Actor)
Born: August 28, 1960 in London
Best Known For: Playing Fallon Carrington Colby in Dynasty.
Early-life: Born Emma Samuelson in London on August 28, 1960. She trained as a ballet dancer but had to quit at 15 after an injury to her hip. She then decided to train as an actress, changing her name to Emma Samms as there was already an Emma Samuelson registered with actors union Equity.
Career: Samms has played Holly Sutton Scorpio on the daytime soap opera General Hospital a number of times since 1982, and also played the role of Holly's lookalike half-sister Paloma. Samms replaced Pamela Sue Martin in the role of Fallon Carrington Colby in Dynasty in 1985. She has also made guest appearances on Doctors, Holby City, The Bill and Casualty. In August 2014, she was a participant on BBC One celebrity gymnastics contest Tumble.
Quote: "The Emma Samms persona is a suit I put on for work. Who I really am is the wife and mother and daughter and sister and friend."
Trivia: She co-founded The Starlight Foundation in 1982.
Art Malik (Actor)
Born: November 13, 1952 in Bahawalpur, Pakistan
Best Known For: The Jewel In The Crown and A Passage To India.
Early-life: Born Athar Ul-Haque on November 13, 1952, in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. One of six children, he moved to London when he was two. At the age of 10 he was sent to boarding school in Pakistan to "rediscover his roots", returning to England a year later. He had his first theatrical experience at school and decided he wanted to act, a choice that didn't please his parents. He tried business studies before winning a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1974.
Career: Malik took on minor roles until his big break came in The Jewel In The Crown. During the filming, director David Lean headhunted him for A Passage To India. Both were released in 1984, bringing Malik instant fame. In demand ever since, he has appeared in a host of TV and movie productions, including Bond movie The Living Daylights. He established himself as a movie villain in 1994 action blockbuster True Lies, and played a special needs teacher in acclaimed thriller Clockwork Mice. In recent years, Malik has appeared on the small screen in Life Support, Hotel!, Messiah, Holby City, The Nativity, Upstairs Downstairs, and Borgia.
Quote: "Am I a star? I hope not, because star is just rats spelled backwards."
Trivia: Malik was on the verge of being declared bankrupt before he landed a lucrative role in True Lies.
