Early-life: Nicole Mary Kidman was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 20, 1967, but spent three years in Washington DC before her parents moved to their native Sydney, Australia. Her father was a biochemist and clinical psychologist, her mother a nursing instructor. Her younger sister, Antonia, is a TV presenter in Australia. Nicole took ballet lessons, but eventually turned to acting, and received a letter of praise and encouragement from Jane Campion, who saw her in a play and later directed her in The Portrait of a Lady in 1996.
Career: At 16, Kidman made her TV and film debuts in Young Talent Time and BMX Bandits respectively. Roles in Bush Christmas and A Country Practice followed. In 1989, Dead Calm and miniseries Bangkok Hilton brought her international acclaim, and launched her career in America. Future husband Tom Cruise cast her in Days of Thunder, while To Die For proved she was more than just a pretty face. Since then, she's appeared in a number of Hollywood movies, including Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, The Others and The Hours (for which she won an Oscar). More recent films include Rabbit Hole, The Paperboy, The Railway Man, Grace of Monaco, Before I Go to Sleep and Paddington.

Matt Dillon (Actor) .. Larry Maretto
Born: February 18, 1964 in New York
Best Known For: A string of movies.
Early-life: Matthew Raymond Dillon was born in New York on February 18, 1964 to Mary and Paul. He is the second of six children and grew up in Mamaroneck, New York. Matt was a teenager when he was spotted by a talent scout and asked to attend a casting call. This led to him landing a role in Over the Edge (1979). He followed this up with roles in Little Darlings (1980), My Bodyguard (1980) and Liar's Moon (1982).
Career: Dillon worked with director Francis Ford Coppola on The Outsiders (1983) and went on to win critical acclaim for his performance in Gus Van Sant's Drugstore Cowboy (1989). He continued to star in popular films throughout the 1990s, with roles in the likes of Singles (1992), To Die For (1995), Wild Things (1998) and There's Something About Mary (1998). In 2002, he wrote, directed and starred in City of Ghosts. He was awarded a Golden Globe for his performance in Crash (2004). In 2015, he will be playing Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke in American TV drama Wayward Pines.

Joaquin Phoenix (Actor) .. Jimmy Emmett
Born: October 24, 1974 in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Best Known For: Being River's brother.
Early-life: Born Joaquin Rafael Bottom on October 24, 1974, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He's the third of five children. The family were part of the Children of God cult, but left in 1978 and settled in the US. They also changed their name to Phoenix, to celebrate their new start. Around the same time, Joaquin became known as Leaf, to fit in with the earthy monikers of his siblings: River, Rain, Summer and Liberty.
Career: The Phoenix children began landing acting roles at a young age. Leaf's first role was on TV in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in 1982. His film debut was in 1986's Space Camp. He also appeared in Parenthood in 1989 before changing his name back to Joaquin and dropping out of acting to travel in South America with his father. To Die For thrust him back into the spotlight in 1995. He's worked constantly since then, in such projects as 8MM, The Yards, Quills, Buffalo Soldiers, Signs, The Village, Ladder 49, and Her. He has received Oscar nominations for The Master, Walk the Line, and Gladiator.

Born: August 12, 1975 in Falmouth, Massachusetts
Best Known For: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and being the younger brother of Ben Affleck.
Early-life: Caleb Casey Affleck was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on August 12, 1975. He is the younger brother of fellow actor Ben. He attended George Washington University and later transferred to Columbia University in New York but never graduated.
Career: Affleck made his film debut in dark comedy To Die For (1995) and followed this up with box-office flop Race the Sun (1997). He had better luck when he starred with his brother in Chasing Amy (1997) and Good Will Hunting (1997). He went on to star in a string of commercial failures but his fortunes changed when he was part of the ensemble cast in Ocean's Eleven (2001). He reprised his character, Virgil Malloy, in two Ocean's sequels. Affleck's big break came in 2007 when he starred opposite Brad Pitt in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, a role that earned him an Academy Award nomination. Since then, Affleck has starred in The Killer Inside Me (2010), Tower Heist (2011), Out of the Furnace (2013) and Manchester By the Sea (2016).
