Best Known For: Till Death Us Do Part and Worzel Gummidge.
Early-life: Una was born in Welwyn Garden City on May 1, 1937. She trained at the La Roche dancing school in Slough and made her theatre debut at the age of 16 in a chorus line at the London Palladium. Her dancing talent led to her landing a role alongside Cliff Richard in Summer Holiday (1963). A year later, she appeared in the singer's next film, Wonderful Life (1964).
Career: Stubbs's big break came in 1966 when she began playing Rita, the married daughter of Alf Garnett in BBC sitcom Till Death Us Do Part. The series ran until 1975 and she also reprised the role years later in Till Death and In Sickness and In Health. From 1979 to 1981, she became a firm favourite with younger viewers playing Aunt Sally in Worzel Gummidge opposite Jon Pertwee. She was also a team captain for several years on ITV game show Give Us a Clue. In recent years, she has appeared in EastEnders, The Catherine Tate Show, Benidorm and Sherlock.
