Pierce Brosnan (Actor) .. Jean Charles Pommier
Born: May 16, 1953 in Drogheda, Ireland
Best Known For: Being James Bond.
Early-life: Pierce Brendan Brosnan was born on May 16, 1953, in Drogheda, Ireland. His parents separated when he was a baby, and he was raised by relatives in Navan (which he considers his hometown) from the age of four while his mother trained as a nurse in England. They were reunited in 1964, settling in Putney, west London, with his mother's second husband. Pierce was bulled at school because of his Irish accent. He later trained as a commercial artist, but switched to acting after becoming involved with a theatre group.
Career: Brosnan's first roles came on stage at York Theatre Royal. He was chosen by Tennessee Williams to star in the West End debut of his play The Red Devil Battery Sign. He followed by his movie debut in Resting Rough in 1979. He made appearances in The Professionals, Hammer House of Horror, The Long Good Friday and Manions of America before moving to Hollywood. He was in the TV show Remington Steele for five years, which prevented him taking over from Roger Moore as 007 in 1986. Low-budget movies followed until Bond came calling again in 1995. His last 007 movie, Die Another Day, was released in 2002. He runs his own production company, Irish DreamTime. Among his best non-Bond movies are The Thomas Crown Affair remake, The Matador, Seraphim Falls, The Ghost, Love is All You Need, The Love Punch, A Long Way Down and Mamma Mia!
Quote: 'To my eye, women get sexier around 35. They know a thing or two, and knowledge is always alluring.'
Trivia: He became an American citizen in 2004, but retains his Irish citizenship.
Lesley-Anne Down (Actor) .. Dr Eileen Flax
Adam Ant (Actor) .. Number One
Born: November 03, 1954 in London
Best Known For: His early 1980s hits.
Early-life: Stuart Leslie Goddard was born in London on November 3, 1954, the only child of a working-class family. He attended Hornsey School of Art in London and joined a band called Bazooka Joe as a bass player in the early 1970s. In 1975, he formed his own band, the B-sides, and then came Adam & the Ants, who played their first gig in 1977. With help from influential fans John Peel and Malcolm McLaren, they gained a big following and, by 1981, had become chart stars.
Career: The band had 15 hits in three years, including number ones Stand and Deliver and Prince Charming. After deciding to go solo, Ant enjoyed huge success with Goody Two Shoes in 1982. He went to Hollywood to pursue an acting career, but films such as Slam Dance (1987) and World Gone Wild (1987) failed to make him a Tinseltown icon. His career went into freefall in the early Noughties, when he was sent to a psychiatric ward at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, north London. He bounced back in 2006 with the release of his autobiography and took to the stage again in 2010. In 2013, he released Adam Ant is the Blueback Hussar in Marrying the Gunner's Daughter, his first album since 1995.
Quote: 'I've been told I sold 110 million albums and singles. If that's the case, I should've come here in a space rocket.'
Trivia: He doesn't own a TV and enjoys reading historical novels.
