Thomas Sean Connery was born in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh on August 25, 1930. He first worked as a milkman and coffin polisher before joining the Navy at 16. During his spell in the service he had two tattoos etched on his right arm; he was eventually forced to leave after developing a stomach ulcer. At 19, he made ends meet as an artist's model at Edinburgh's School of Art. He also competed in the Mr Universe body-building competition in 1953.
Career:
While still a bodybuilder, Sean was offered the chance to appear in a West End production of South Pacific, which kick-started his acting career. His film debut came in 1955's Lilacs in the Spring, but he didn't become a major star until he appeared as Bond in 1962's Dr No. It remains his most famous role, despite hits including The Man Who Would Be King, Rising Sun, A Bridge Too Far, Time Bandits, Highlander, The Rock, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Entrapment. He won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for The Untouchables in 1987.

Thomas Mark Harmon was born on September 2, 1951, in Burbank, California. His father, Tom, was an American football player and sports broadcaster, and his mother, Elyse, an actress. His maternal grandparents came from Austria. Mark has two older sisters: one is an artist, the other an actress. He enjoyed sport as a youngster, and had a distinguished college career as an American football star while at UCLA. He worked as a carpenter and considered careers in advertising or law before concentrating on acting.
Career:
Harmon's first TV appearance came as a child in an advert alongside his father. His break into came via a 1975 episode of Police Woman. His CV includes everything from glossy soaps such as Flamingo Road, to big-screen offerings, including Beyond the Poseidon Adventure and The Presidio. He gained much acclaim for his role in medical drama St Elsewhere, playing a doctor who contracted HIV; he was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive while appearing on the show. He also featured in the films Freaky Friday, Chasing Liberty and TV series The West Wing and JAG. These days he's best known for his role as agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in NCIS, a part he's played since 2003.

Born Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra on November 19, 1961, in Fairfield, Connecticut, USA. She is the daughter of casting agents, who divorced in 1976. She has two sisters and a brother. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in a journalism course at New York University. To make ends meet, she began auditioning for small acting roles, using her new moniker - Ryan is her mother's maiden name.
Career:
Ryan made her film debut in 1981's Rich and Famous, opposite Candice Bergen. She became a famous face on US TV thanks to a two-year stint on soap As the World Turns. International recognition followed her role in 1986's Top Gun. A year later, Innerspace consolidated her position as a rising star. When Harry Met Sally made her a force to be reckoned with in 1989, and since then, she's appeared in such blockbusters as Sleepless in Seattle, French Kiss, You've Got Mail and controversial thriller In the Cut. Recent projects include The Deal, My Mom's New Boyfriend and The Women.
