Born: March 14, 1986 in Billingham, Stockton on Tees
Best Known For: Playing the title role in Billy Elliot.
Early-life: Jamie was born on March 14, 1986 in Billingham, Stockton on Tees. He came from a family of dancers, including his grandmother, mother, aunt and sister, and began his own career in dance at an early age. In 2000, he took his talent to the big screen when he won the title role in Billy Elliot, a film about a young boy with a gift for ballet dancing that he tries to keep a secret, which paralleled Jamie's own story.
Career: Billy Elliot was a huge hit, garnering Jamie vast critical praise. He went on to star in numerous independent movies such as Undertow, Dear Wendy, The Chumscrubber and Hallam Foe. He also took the lead role in the 2002 horror film Deathwatch, played Smike in an adaptation of Nicholas Nickleby that same year and Jimmy in Peter Jackson's remake of adventure classic King Kong in 2005. He has also played real-life figures in two war films; US Marine Ralph Ignatowski in 2006's Flags of Our Fathers and Asael Bielski in 2008's Defiance. He appeared alongside Hayden Christensen in sci-fi drama Jumper that same year. His recent work includes Man on a Ledge, Snowpiercer and Nymphomaniac.

Trivia: He voiced the title character in Steven Spielberg's animated film The Adventures of Tintin (2011).
Hugo Speer (Actor) .. Sgt Tate
Born: March 17, 1969 in Harrogate
Best Known For: The Full Monty.
Early-life: Hugo was born in Harrogate on March 17, 1969. He studied acting at the Arts Educational School, Tring Park. He had a minor role in the film Bhaji on the Beach (1993) and went on to have small parts in a number of TV shows, including So Haunt Me, The Bill and Woof!
Career: His big break came in 1997 when he had one of the lead roles in the hugely popular The Full Monty. From a £3million budget, the film went on to gross more than £160million worldwide. He has worked solidly on TV ever since in the likes of Hearts and Bones, Clocking Off, The Last Detective, Bleak House, Sorted, Silent Witness, Five Days, Midsomer Murders, Bedlam, Father Brown, and The Musketeers.

Trivia: He made his directorial debut in 2010 with the short film MAM.
Matthew Rhys (Actor) .. Doc Fairweather
Born: November 08, 1974 in Cardiff
Best Known For: Brothers & Sisters and The Americans.
Early-life: Born Matthew Rhys Evans in Cardiff on November 8, 1974, he is the son of a headmaster and a teacher who encouraged him to follow his dream of becoming a professional actor. He has an older sister, Rachel, who is a journalist; they both attended Welsh-speaking schools. Matthew studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada), and during this period shared a flat with his childhood friend and fellow future star Ioan Gruffud. While at Rada, Matthew had roles in low-budget Welsh film House of America and BBC police drama Backup.
Career: In 1998, Rhys filmed New Zealand costume drama Greenstone before landing a part in box-office flop Titus. He had better luck a year later when he played a lead role opposite Kathleen Turner in the world premiere of the stage adaptation of The Graduate in the West End. He enjoyed worldwide recognition after being cast in American drama Brothers & Sisters as lawyer Kevin Walker. The show ran for five seasons before coming to an end in 2011. More recently, Rhys has appeared in BBC costume dramas The Mystery of Edwin Drood and Death Comes to Pemberley, and ITV's Daphne Du Maurier adaptation The Scapegoat. In 2013, he began starring opposite Keri Russell in 1980s Cold War drama The Americans.

Andy Serkis (Actor) .. Pte Quinn
Born: April 20, 1964 in Ruislip, Middlesex
Best Known For: His role as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings movies.
Early-life: Andrew Clement Serkis was born in Ruislip, Middlesex, on April 20, 1964. His Armenian father, whose original surname is Sarkisian, was an Iraqi doctor, while his mother taught disabled children. He has four siblings. At school, Andy was keen on painting and graphic art. However, while attending Lancaster University, he became interested in theatre and won rave reviews for his performances. Following a successful turn in the play Gotcha, he decided to become a professional actor.
Career: Serkis honed his skills at the Dukes Playhouse, Lancaster, in the mid-1980s, before touring with well-known companies, and appearing at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Success on London stages in the early 1990s coincided with his breakthrough in TV and film. He has starred in an eclectic mix of projects, such as Stella Does Tricks (1996), Among Giants (1998), Topsy-Turvy (1999) and 24 Hour Party People (2002). He achieved global recognition for playing Gollum in Peter Jackson's epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. He worked with the filmmaker again on his King Kong (2005) remake. Laurence Fox (Actor) .. Capt Jennings
Born: May 26, 1978 in Yorkshire
Best Known For: Lewis.
Early-life: Laurence Paul Fox was born in Yorkshire on May 26, 1978. Born into a theatrical family, he is the son of actor James Fox and the nephew of actor Edward Fox and theatre and film producer Robert Fox. Acting relatives also include his brother Jack and sister Lydia, and cousins Emilia Fox and Freddie Fox. Two years after leaving Harrow, Laurence developed a love of acting and enrolled at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada). During his time there, he appeared in a number of stage productions.
Career: Fox was still studying at Rada when he landed a role in his first feature film, 2001 horror-thriller The Hole. He went on to star in Gosford Park (2001), TV miniseries Island at War and TV movie Colditz. His big break came in 2006 when he was cast alongside Kevin Whately in Inspector Morse spin-off Lewis. Other credits include Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007), Becoming Jane (2007), W.E. (2011) and TV movie Fast Freddie, the Widow and Me. Fox has also featured in a number of stage productions, including Strangers on a Train at London's Gielgud Theatre.
