Early-life: Angelina Jolie Voight was born in Los Angeles on June 4, 1975 to actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Her brother is the actor James Haven. After her parents separated in 1976, Angelina and her brother lived with their mother. At a young age, Angelina knew she wanted to be an actress and at the age of 11, she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where she trained for two years. She went on to appear in a number of music videos before she played her first leading role, in low-budget sci-fi action film Cyborg 2 (1993).
Career: Jolie's star began to rise following appearances in a number of small films in the mid-1990s, including Hackers (1995), Foxfire (1996), True Woman (1997) and George Wallace (1997), a TV movie that won her a Golden Globe. Early-life: Vincent Anthony Vaughn was born in Minneapolis on March 28, 1970, and was raised in Lake Forest, Illinois. His mother is an estate agent and his father worked as a salesman for a toy company. Vince was interested in acting early on, landing a spot in a car commercial. He headed for Hollywood only to struggle. He became friends with Jon Favreau, who was writing a script detailing his life as an out-of-work actor.
Career: Vaughn was written into Swingers (1996) by Favreau to play the character of Trent. It was a critical success and led to Steven Spielberg casting Vaughn in the big-budget sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997. He spent the next decade notching up hit after hit, from heavyweight dramas like Return to Paradise (1998), through to comedy fare like Old School (2003), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) and Be Cool (2005). He is considered the leader of, what the media refers to as, 'The Frat Pack,' along with Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell and Owen and Luke Wilson. Early-life: Adam Jared Brody was born in San Diego on December 15, 1979. His father was a lawyer, his mother was a graphic artist and he has two younger twin brothers, Sean and Matt. After attending Scripps Ranch High School, Adam moved to Hollywood in 1999, where he signed up with an acting coach and a manager. A year of training and auditions resulted in him landing the role of Barry Williams in the TV movie Growing Up Brady.
Career: Recurring parts on series such as The Gilmore Girls, Judging Amy and The Sausage Factory followed, before Brody was given the role that would catapult him to stardom, playing Seth Cohen in teen drama The OC. Since then, he has featured in MADtv and The Loop, but it's been on the big screen where Brody's career has flourished. Roles in American Pie 2 (2000), The Ring (2002), Grind (2003), Mr & Mrs Smith (2005) and Thank You for Smoking (2006) raised his profile.
