Career: After overcoming drink and drugs addictions, her second husband, actor Steven Bauer, encouraged her to take acting classes. Director Brian De Palma cast her in his 1984 murder-mystery Body Double and her sexy, funny performance won her rave reviews. Jonathan Demme was so impressed with her performance that he cast her in 1986's Something Wild without even auditioning her. Griffith's career skyrocketed when Mike Nichols gave her the title role in Working Girl in 1988, a box-office hit for which she received an Academy Award nomination as Best Actress and won the Golden Globe Award as Best Actress in a Comedy. Career: Schneider moved from writer to performer on SNL when he made his on-screen debut in October 1990. At the time, the main cast included Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller and Mike Meyers. After leaving SNL in 1994, he played supporting roles in a number of movies, including Judge Dredd (1995) and Down Periscope (1996) and starred in the short-lived American remake of British sitcom Men Behaving Badly. Career: During the 1990s, Lynch guest starred on a number of TV shows, including Married with Children, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Frasier. Her film breakthrough came with Best in Show (2000), where she played a butch, lesbian dog handler. Despite this, she continued her penchant for making guest appearances on high-profile TV shows. In the early noughties she appeared in The X Files, The King of Queens, Arrested Development, Friends, The L Word and Two and a Half Men.
