Best Known For: Being part of an acting dynasty.
Early-life: The son of actor Lloyd Bridges and his wife Dorothy, Jeffrey Leon Bridges was born on December 4, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. He has a younger sister, Lucinda, and an older brother, Beau, who also acts. Both boys appeared with their mother in the 1950 film The Company She Keeps (Jeff was just four months old at the time), and occasionally featured with their dad on his popular TV shows in the 1950s and 1960s. Jeff eventually studied acting in New York, and also spent eight years serving with the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
Career: Bridges' first major role came in the 1971 movie The Last Picture Show, for which he garnered a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. More Oscar nominations followed for Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Starman, The Contender and True Grit; he's won once for Crazy Heart. One of his better-known roles was in the 1982 sci-fi cult classic Tron, in which he played Kevin Flynn, a video game programmer - a role he returned to in the 2010 sequel. Other major projects include the Coen Brothers' classic The Big Lebowski, as well as The Fisher King, Fearless, Jagged Edge, Iron Man and Seabiscuit. An accomplished musician, Bridges has also released three albums.

Early-life: Jeremy Merton Sisto was born in 1974 in Grass Valley, California, but at the age of six, when his parents actress mother Reedy and jazz DJ father Richard divorced, he, his mum and older sister Meadow, moved to Chicago, where she and Jeremy began auditioning for theatre roles. While attending the progressive Francis W Parker School, he landed his first acting job in the film Grand Canyon. He then studied at UCLA, and after graduating, began acting full-time.
Career: Jeremy landed parts in several movies during the early Nineties, including Hideaway and Clueless, working steadily throughout the decade until he was handed the leading role in the TV movie Jesus. More film work followed until 2002, when he played Julius Caesar in the miniseries of the same name. Jeremy continued to hone his craft in a variety of movies, before accepting the part of Billy Chenowith in the hit TV series Six Feet Under. The role made him a household name and since then, he's returned to the big screen with offerings including A Lot Like Love and Waitress. Jeremy has also branched out into producing movies and set up his own company in 2003. He still works extensively in theatre.

Ryan Phillippe (Actor) .. Gil Martin

Early-life: Phillippe was born on September 10, 1974, in New Castle, Delaware, the son of Susan, who ran a day care centre in the family's house, and Richard Phillippe. He has three sisters. Phillippe attended New Castle Baptist Academy, where he played basketball and soccer, and earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. At the age of 15 he became interested in an acting career, inspired by a neighbour's suggestion. A casting agent spotted Phillippe in a barbershop two years later, and began sending him to auditions in New York.
Career: Phillippe's acting career began with an appearance in ABC daytime drama One Life To Live. The character of Billy Douglas, a role he played from 1992 to 1993, was the first gay teenager to be portrayed on a daytime soap opera, causing quite a stir. He was cast in the 1995 big-screen thriller Crimson Tide and the 1996 film White Squall. He then landed a role in horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer. In 1999 he starred in Cruel Intentions, a modern retelling of Choderlos de Laclos' novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. In the following years, Phillippe appeared in the crime-drama The Way of the Gun, starred as a software engineer in the thriller Antitrust, and took a role in Robert Altman's critically acclaimed Gosford Park, before turning in terrific performances in Crash, which won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2005, and Clint Eastwood-directed war movie Flags of Our Fathers. His recent work includes Stop-Loss, Franklyn and MacGruber.

Best Known For: Directing Alien, Thelma and Louise and Gladiator.
Early-life: Born on November 30, 1937, in South Shields, Tyne and Wear. He spent most of his free time drawing or watching movies. He trained at West Hartlepool Art School and the Royal College of Art, where he developed a passion for film-making. His student project, Boy On A Bicycle, won much acclaim. His brother Tony is the director of Top Gun and True Romance. Their older sibling, Frank, died of cancer in 1980.
Career: Scott worked as a designer, then as a director, on TV shows Z Cars, Softly Softly and Adam Adamant Lives. He set up his own company in the 1960s, which made classic adverts for Hovis and Guinness. His first film was 1977's The Duellists. Two years later he made Alien, which was a blockbuster. He's since directed a number of hugely successful movies including Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, GI Jane, Gladiator, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down and Matchstick Men. The success of these projects made him Britain's most lucrative film-maker. His most recent work includes Kingdom Of Heaven, American Gangster, Robin Hood and Prometheus. He always has several films in various stages of production.
