Born: October 09, 1953 in Green Bay, Wisconsin
Best Known For: Monk.
Early-life: Anthony Marcus Shalhoub was born on October 9, 1953, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His parents were of Lebanese descent and his father owned a grocery store. Tony has nine siblings and first appeared on stage at the age of six, when one of his sisters volunteered him to play an extra in a production of The King and I. His parents had hoped he would work in the family business, but he knew he wanted to be an actor and studied at Yale Drama School.
Career: After graduating with a Masters degree, Shalhoub spent four years at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, before trying his luck in New York. He enjoyed success on Broadway, earning a Tony Award nomination for his role in Conversations with My Father. This led to TV movies and he made his big-screen debut in 1990 film Companion. Other films followed, including Men in Black, Galaxy Quest and Spy Kids. On the small screen, he joined the cast of US sitcom Wings in season 3 and went on to star in 136 episodes. His next big role on TV was playing the title role in Monk from 2002 until 2009. He won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Adrian Monk. Quote: 'I try not to look at the ethnicity of the parts. I like to look at the complexity of the characters, and the actors and directors involved.'
Nat Wolff (Actor) .. Doug
Johnny Knoxville (Actor) .. James
Born: March 11, 1971 in Knoxville, Tennessee
Best Known For: Fronting offbeat comedy stunt show Jackass.
Early-life: Born Philip John Clapp on March 11, 1971, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of a used-car salesman. He was a sickly child and almost died while suffering simultaneous bouts of flu, pneumonia and bronchitis. He is also asthmatic. He decided to become an actor after reading Jack Kerouac's On The Road, and after high school, he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, but dropped out after three weeks. Rather than going straight into acting, he took a job on skateboarding magazine Big Brother.
Career: Made his movie debut in 1995's Desert Blues, but it was an article about self-defence equipment, which he tested on himself, which brought him to the attention of MTV. As a result, he, magazine editor Jeff Tremaine and director Spike Jonze created Jackass, in which various people do bizarre and often dangerous stunts. The show became a massive success at home and abroad, prompting big screen spin-offs. He's since attempted to establish himself as a film actor, and has appeared in Coyote Ugly, Men in Black II, Grand Theft Parsons, Walking Tall, The Dukes of Hazzard, Killshot, and Bad Grandpa.
Quote: 'People think by challenging me they're going to show they're tough. But I'm not tough. Decent drinker. Not such a bad kisser. But not a great fighter.'
Trivia: He is a big fan of Johnny Cash.
