Early-life:
Jason Morgan Ritter was born on February 17, 1980, in Los Angeles. His father was actor John Ritter, best known for ABC sitcoms Three's Company and 8 Simple Rules. His mother is Nancy Morgan, who starred in Ron Howard's directorial debut Grand Theft Auto. He spent several summers at Cheley Colorado Camps in Estes Park, Colorado. He lived with his mother after his parents divorced when he was 16. He studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and at RADA in London.
Career:
Jason first appeared on TV aged just one when he featured in the opening credits of Three's Company. He made his screen debut opposite his father in the 1990 TV movie The Dreamer of Oz, had a recurring role in Joan of Arcadia and played a romantic interest in NBC's 2010 TV reboot of Parenthood. He was all set to hit the big time in 2006 when he starred in sitcom The Class, but the show was cancelled by CBS after one season. More recently, he has starred in Parenthood, Gravity Falls and Drunk History.
