Shannen Doherty (Actor) .. Prue Halliwell
Born: April 12, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee
Best Known For: Beverly Hills, 20210, and Charmed.
Early-life: Born Shannen Maria Doherty on April 12, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee. Her father works in a bank, her mother owns a beauty parlour. She has an older brother, Sean. Her family moved to Los Angeles when Shannen was seven. At 10 she made her TV debut in Father Murphy. Despite having a blossoming acting career, she concentrated on her studies, but was regarded as a loner.
Career: By the time she was 11, Doherty had built up a remarkable CV, with appearances in such projects as The Secret of Nimh, Night Shift, and Little House on the Prairie. She seamlessly moved into more adult roles, thanks to Our House and Heathers, before landing the part of Brenda in Beverly Hills, 90210, which made her name. After four years she left the show under a cloud. She also reportedly upset director William Friedkin while working with him on movie Jailbreakers. TV show Charmed proved a hit in 1998, but she left after allegedly falling out with co-star Alyssa Milano. She returned to the role of Brenda in the 2008 remake of 90210.
Quote: 'I used to have really horrible nightmares where I'd swallowed the remote control to the TV. Don't ask me where that one came from. It was really horrifying.'
Trivia: In 1999, Doherty announced she suffers from Crohn's disease.
Holly Marie Combs (Actor) .. Piper Halliwell
Born: December 03, 1973 in San Diego, California
Best Known For: Playing Piper in Charmed.
Early-life: Born in San Diego, California, on December 3, 1973, to aspiring teenage actress Lauralei Combs. In 1980, she and her mother moved to New York to pursue their careers. Holly studied at the city's Professional Children's School, and soon began getting jobs in commercials. Her first big role came at the age of 12, when she starred in Walls of Glass alongside her mother and a host of famous faces, including Olympia Dukakis.
Career: More roles followed in the movies Sweet Heart Dance, New York Stories and Born on the Fourth of July. Her big break came at 18, playing the part of Tom Skerritt's daughter in TV show Picket Fences. She stayed with the series for four years and in 1993 won a Young Artist Award for her performances. Following a string of TV movies, she auditioned for a role in Charmed after being tipped off about the show by her friend Shannen Doherty. The supernatural drama made her a global star. More recently, she has played Ella Montgomery in teen drama Pretty Little Liars.

Alyssa Milano (Actor) .. Phoebe Halliwell
Born: December 19, 1972 in New York
Best Known For: Charmed.
Early-life: Alyssa Jayne Milano was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 19, 1972. She grew up on Staten Island. Her father is a film music editor, her mother a fashion designer. Her brother, Cory, is also an actor. At the age of seven, she won a part in Annie after accompanying her babysitter, an aspiring dancer, who was auditioning for a role in the show. Afterwards, she tackled off-Broadway roles and appeared in commercials.
Career: Milano's big break came in 1984 when she was cast as Tony Danza's daughter in the sitcom Who's the Boss? Her family then relocated to Hollywood. Her movie debut came the same year in Old Enough, and she's worked steadily ever since, in projects such as The Canterville Ghost, Where the Day Takes You, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, and Melrose Place. She was also the model for Ariel in Disney's Little Mermaid. Playing one of a trio of attractive young witches in Charmed brought her international fame. She currently has a lead role in Mistresses, an American remake of the BBC series.
