Stephen Mulhern (Host)

Best Known For: Presenting various ITV shows.

Early-life: Stephen Daniel Mulhern was born in Minehead on April 4, 1977 to Maureen and Christopher. He has two older brothers and a younger sister. He started to learn about magic when he was 14 and his first break as an entertainer came when he performed his magic show at Butlins when he was 17. It led to him being offered a job as a Redcoat at Minehead. His first taste of TV began in 1998 as a CITV presenter. He went on to co-host Finger Tips with Fearne Cotton and Naomi Wilkinson, children's show Tricky TV and Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown with Holly Willoughby.

Career: Mulhern moved on to more adult fare in 2006 when he hosted ITV2 spin-off Dancing on Ice: Defrosted. Since then, he has been involved with ITV2 spin-off Britain's Got More Talent, game show Magic Numbers, The Big Quiz, Big Star's Little Star and Sunday Side Up. Since 2013, he has presented a revived version of ITV game show Catchphrase. He has also appeared in a number of pantomimes. In 2012, he began co-presenting a Sunday breakfast show on Heart radio alongside Emma Willis.

Quote: "I wanted to be the new Paul Daniels," he says. "I wanted to have that show where the best and biggest acts from around the world would do a couple of tricks and I'd introduce them."

Trivia: Mulhern has released a number of children's magic sets, toured the UK with Stephen's Mega Mad Magic Show and performed his magic act in front of the Queen at a Royal Variety Performance.

James Jordan (Contestant)

Born: April 13, 1978 in Gillingham

Best Known For: Being a dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.

Early-life: James was born in Gillingham on April 13, 1978 to Sharon and Alan. His parents used to teach at Peggy Spencer's dance school in Penge but gave up dancing after having children. James has an older sister, Kelly. He began dancing at the age of 10. By 15, he was competing in open competitions. In his late teens, he worked with his father as an engineer in a power station to fund dance classes. After taking a short break from dancing, James travelled to Poland to have a try-out with Ola Grabowska (better known now as Ola Jordan). Within three weeks, Ola moved to the UK and they became dance partners.

Career: Jordan and Grabowska went on to win a number of dance competitions. After getting married in 2003, they moved to Hong Kong, where they taught Latin American dancing for four years. They came to prominence in the UK in 2006 when they both appeared as professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing. Jordan went on to appear in a further seven series of Strictly. His best outing was second place in 2012 with actress and singer Denise van Outen. In the summer of 2014, he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Trivia: Jordan was a choreographer on the series So You Think You Can Dance.

Fiona Wade (Contestant)

Born: March 20, 1979 in UK

Best Known For: Playing Priya Sharma in Emmerdale.

Early-life: Fiona was born in the UK on March 20, 1979. Her mother came to Britain from the Philippines. Fiona was an extra on Grange Hill before she became a regular on the children's drama in 1996. An accomplished singer, she left Grange Hill in 1998 to star in West End musical Miss Saigon.

Career: Wade's theatrical credits include lead roles in Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story. She returned to the world of children's drama in 2001 when she played Anya Vicenze in 24Seven. Other TV credits include Doctors, Where the Heart Is, Genie in the House, Holby City, Wire in the Blood and Lewis. Her big break came in 2011 when she landed a recurring role as Priya Sharma in Emmerdale.

Quote: "I really wanted to be a pop star and I had a provisional record deal at 18. I worked in Sweden with the producers who wrote and produced Kylie Minogue's Fever album, but it never really seemed to take off."

Trivia: Wade has appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Chase and All Star Family Fortunes.

Louis Walsh (Contestant)

Born: August 05, 1952 in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, Ireland

Best Known For: Being a judge on The X Factor.

Early-life: Born Michael Louis Vincent Walsh in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, on August 5, 1952, Louis's first taste of success came when he managed singer Johnny Logan, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980. Under Louis's tutelage, Logan's debut album sold 500,000 copies in three days and topped the charts in 11 countries.

Career: Eager to find Ireland's answer to Take That, Louis formed Boyzone, and the rest, as they say, is history. To date, the group has sold more than 25 million records worldwide and netted six number one singles in the UK. Walsh has also presided over the careers of other chart-topping acts, including Westlife, Samantha Mumba, Girls Aloud, Shayne Ward, JLS, Ronan Keating and Shane Filan. He is, of course, best known for appearing as a judge on The X Factor, which he has done since its inception in 2004. He has substituted for Simon Cowell at auditions on Britain's Got Talent and the American version of The X Factor.

Quote: On leaving The X Factor: "I've been doing it ten years. It's an awful long time to be on the show. I don't want to be pushed. I'd prefer to leave than be pushed. To leave on my terms."

Trivia: He was declared Mayo Person of the Year for 2009.
