Best Known For: Presenting various ITV shows.
Early-life: Stephen Daniel Mulhern was born in Minehead on April 4, 1977 to Maureen and Christopher. He has two older brothers and a younger sister. He started to learn about magic when he was 14 and his first break as an entertainer came when he performed his magic show at Butlins when he was 17. It led to him being offered a job as a Redcoat at Minehead. His first taste of TV began in 1998 as a CITV presenter. He went on to co-host Finger Tips with Fearne Cotton and Naomi Wilkinson, children's show Tricky TV and Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown with Holly Willoughby.
Career: Mulhern moved on to more adult fare in 2006 when he hosted ITV2 spin-off Dancing on Ice: Defrosted. Since then, he has been involved with ITV2 spin-off Britain's Got More Talent, game show Magic Numbers, The Big Quiz, Big Star's Little Star and Sunday Side Up. Since 2013, he has presented a revived version of ITV game show Catchphrase. He has also appeared in a number of pantomimes. In 2012, he began co-presenting a Sunday breakfast show on Heart radio alongside Emma Willis.
Quote: "I wanted to be the new Paul Daniels," he says. "I wanted to have that show where the best and biggest acts from around the world would do a couple of tricks and I'd introduce them."
Trivia: Mulhern has released a number of children's magic sets, toured the UK with Stephen's Mega Mad Magic Show and performed his magic act in front of the Queen at a Royal Variety Performance.
Dermot O'Leary (Contestant)
Born: May 24, 1973 in Colchester
Best Known For: Presenting The X Factor and his show on Radio 2.
Early-life: Sean Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr was born in Colchester, Essex, on May 24, 1973. While at school, he became a keen supporter of the Catholic aid agency Cafod. He wanted to work in TV from an early age, but his builder dad warned him there was no money in it. Despite this, Dermot went on to study media and politics at Middlesex University. After graduation, he distributed approximately 200 CVs to production companies and received mostly rejection letters, which he has kept.
Career: O'Leary got his big break as a DJ on BBC Radio Essex. He gave that up to be a TV runner working on the series Century Road, about a street in Walthamstow. He later landed a presenting slot on Sunday show Fully Booked. Following a move to Channel 4, he hosted T4 before fronting Big Brother's Little Brother in 2001. He has his own production company called Murphia and has helped to launch Cafod's youth-fundraising scheme, Fast Track. His other TV credits include SAS: Are You Tough Enough?, UK Music Hall of Fame, Shattered and the National Lottery quiz 1 vs 100. He also presents his own show on Radio 2 and, of course, ITV's The X Factor.
Quote: On being a Catholic: "I'm not interested in preaching from the rooftops. I was brought up with it and I still practise, but I don't think that my God is any more worthy than that of a friend of mine who happens to follow Allah."
Trivia: O'Leary has hosted a number of spin-off editions of Question Time aimed at first-time voters. He co-owns a restaurant in Brighton.
Samantha Barks (Contestant)
Kelly Holmes (Contestant)
Born: April 19, 1970 in Pembury, Kent
Best Known For: Her double gold-winning success at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Early-life: Born on April 19, 1970, Kelly is the eldest of five children. Her parents separated when she was two years old and her mother Patricia subsequently married Michael Norris. Her athletic career began at her local primary school, where she overcame her hatred of cross-country running to prove herself a consistent winner.
Career: Holmes's mother took her to Tonbridge Athletics Club, where the youngster came under the wing of coach David Arnold. He recognised her ability, and within a short time she had scooped the English schools title. At the age of 18, she joined the Army, where she continued to dabble in sport, but in 1992 decided she could compete at international level, and made her debut a year later. During her athletic career, she amassed many medals and titles, including European bronze in 2002, World silver in 2003 in the 800m discipline, as well as Commonwealth gold in 1994 and 2002 in the 1500m. However, injury dogged her career and prevented her from achieving her Olympic dream - until 2004. She was awarded an MBE in 1998, was voted 2004 BBC Sports personality of the Year, and made a Dame in the 2005 New Year's Honours list. Since retiring from athletics in 2005, Holmes has made guest appearances on a number of TV shows. In 2008, she set up her own charity, the DKH Legacy Trust, which provides aspiring young athletes with an opportunity to work with and alongside elite sports performers.

Trivia: Holmes has her own range of fitness equipment.
