John is still reeling after his discovery that a proxy attack is possibly being planned on UK soil to target a prominent Iranian dissident, but a visit to an informant's widow throws up contradictory evidence. John becomes convinced that there is a cover-up that permeates to the highest level. Meanwhile, John's refusal to accept voluntary redundancy means his relationship with Claire is on thin ice, and a visit from his in-laws only stokes tensions. Best Known For: Emma and The Hour.
Early-life: Romola Sadie Garai was born in Hong Kong on August 6, 1982 to Janet and Adrian. Her family relocated to England when she was eight. At the age of 16, she moved to London to live with her older sister, Rosie. After being spotted by a casting director in a school production, she played a young Judi Dench in BBC drama The Last of the Blonde Bombshells. She was studying English Literature at Queen Mary, University of London when she landed a part in BBC TV series Attachments. She decided to put her education on hold and concentrate on acting.
Career: Her first major film role came in Nicholas Nickleby (2002) and a year later, she landed the lead in I Capture the Castle (2003). Her film credits also include Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights (2004), Vanity Fair (2004), Scoop (2006), Angel (2007), Atonement (2007) and One Day (2011). She received Golden Globe nominations for both TV miniseries Emma and TV drama The Hour.

Trivia: Garai transferred her university credits to the Open University and completed her degree part-time over four years.

Best Known For: Emmerdale and Dancing on Ice.
Early-life: Hayley Soraya Tamaddon was born in Blackpool on January 24, 1977 to a Persian father and an English mother. She trained as a dancer at Phil Winston's Theatreworks and Laine Theatre Arts. Her first big break came in 2005 when she made her first appearance as Del Dingle on Emmerdale.
Career: In 2007, Tamaddon was the runner-up in ITV's celebrity singing competition Soapstar Superstar. This led to a tour with Michael Ball. She left Emmerdale the same year. Her second big break came in 2010 when she won the fifth series of Dancing on Ice with professional ice skater Daniel Whiston. She has continued to act on TV and on the stage and in late 2013 she joined the cast of Coronation Street. In January 2014, she linked up with fellow former contestants on the final series of Dancing on Ice.
Quote: On her audition for Coronation Street: "I felt sick, because it was the biggest deal ever. But once I got there I was fine. Everyone was lovely!"
Trivia: On an edition of All Star Family Fortunes, Tamaddon helped raise £30,000 for the Brian House Children's Hospice.
