Australia v Türkiye (Kick-off 5.00am). Laura Woods presents coverage of the Group D match at BC Place Vancouver in Canada. The Socceroos are appearing at their sixth consecutive finals, and a seventh overall, and will hope to build on their experience in Qatar four years ago when they progressed to the knockout stage for just the second time. They faced European opposition twice in the group stage on that occasion and had mixed fortunes, beginning their campaign with a 4-1 loss to eventual runners-up France, before beating Denmark 1-0 in their final group match, which helped them to move on to a meeting with eventual winners Argentina. In contrast, Türkiye have only appeared in World Cup finals on two previous occasions, most recently in 2002 when the competition had co-hosts for the first time in Japan and South Korea, and they will hope to perform just as admirably as they did on that occasion when they reached the semi-finals and were beaten 1-0 by eventual champions Brazil.
